THE PACK IS MY FAMILY: Karu-Sil begins the game with The Pack attached. When The Pack is attached, Karu-Sil can use Super Senses. When Karu-Sil is KO'd, remove The Pack from the map. When The Pack is KO'd re-attach it to Karu-Sil.
I'm sure this question had to have come up with Squirrel Girl/Monkey Jo, but I can't seem to find it.
If Karu-Sil and The Pack are separated and are both targeted by Pulse Wave, if the Pack is KO'd would they return to Karu-Sil, since her trait telling them to do so would be ignored? I ruled they could, but the more I think about it, I think the answer is no, because the KO and return would still hapen within the action.
Keep in mind this a very old post, and I'm 99% positive this does not apply. I'm only linking it to show that even high level rules guys thought this applied at one time.
And after more searching, I'm even more sure. I actually came across a thread I started about the Summon Ancestral Spirit trait from the IIM chases. PW ignores them. They are not subject to the "Game effects which alter the way a figure is KO‘d or otherwise defeated cannot be ignored." rule. So I see nothing to indicate that Karu-Sil and The Pack would fall under it either.
So in closing, PW wins again. The Pack would go bye bye.

Interesting. I've never faced a situation where Monkey Joe was KO'd by PW.
I'd "pack" a White Lantern Ring for The Pack to pick up and use, just in case. Unless they are hit with another PW attack in the same turn, they can be pushed to KO to return to Karu on the next turn, or move to a safe distance. At the very worst, another character can pick up the ring.
