Hi everyone, was hoping to get feedback on this team. The strategy is to play it in a box formation.


Iron Pharaoh 110 w/protected 8 w/Emma Frost Fragment
Iron Soldier 110 w/Fortitude 25 w/Cyclops Fragment
Iron Padalin w/Repulsor Shield 25 W/Namor Fragment
Iron Doom 200 w/Damage shield 10 w/Colossus
KAL 152
Apocalypse 199 w/1 HOA ATA for himself w/Magik fragment
Phoenix Force Fragment 42

*** Can replace phoenix force with Tony Stark 50 (Although he is not armor you can help boost Def.)

Strategy:

Kal and Tony in the middle surrounded by characters. Close combat people up front (infantry) and range guys on the side and iron pharaoh in the back. Everyone will benefit from either +2/+1 Def.

Will be good m sure. i've never used any of those buy Kal, but I know that guy is crazy good at boosting other armored folks.

Are there any other pieces beside Kal that key off the Armor keyword? If so, that's something worth adding on. Red King could bring some fantastic armored pain too (with Kal hiding behind him to give him a sweet opening 20 Impervious. Ouch!

The Horsemen of Apocalypse ATA only works if there are four figures using the TA (and it's uncopyable, so no wildcarding).

I'm shocked there are no Pacific Rim figures in this Armor team, as they all have the KW and would totally fit a 1000 point game.

The reason the PAC RIM guys are not in this build is because i prefer to keep this in the realm of DC/Marvel Superheroes and also I don't own any of the PAC Rim guys. The addition of the Red King would definitely make a mean combo with Tony and KAL. I just ordered one and will see how he does. The team could really use some probability control tho.

Each to their own. The way I figure, if you are mixing DC with Marvel, all the other sets are fine to mix too.

Armor is one of my favorite keywords, so I'm curious what works best for you. I know I always have fun with Red King, so I'm sure you will too.


Are there any other figures that have powers that key off of the Armor keyword?

Looking at other clix universes then what about some of the halo spartans as support figures. they seem to be able to power up friendlies? And is there a Pac RIM guy that would be an ideal fit? It doesn't seem like there is a whole lot that will react to the armor keyword
