These guys are great for 20 points. Maggia goons can be used as cheap fodder for hobgoblins mastermind trait. They are tie up masters, plascity and they can use their opponents defense against them. Unless their defense power is outwitted then they will be laughing in their opponents face. Their attack values may seem low, but for their cost it doesn't bother me to attack with an 8 av to deal 1 exploit weakness. Perfect little minions for maggia crime syndicate!
Isn't the underworld ta a D.C. team ability? Maggia goon is a marvel character...
It has yet to be given to a Marvel character. I don't think it should be exclusively DC though. It'd be great for Hammerhead, Kingpin, Hand Ninjas, etc..
This guy having plasticity and super low d means he's great help for any one using the offenders ata. The fact that he then uses their defense just adds insult to injury
Whats the best way every has come up with getting these guys to where they're needed? Really want to play an Iron Monger 2.0 team or something involving as many of these guys as I can field

To be honest? Maggia goons are so friggin cheap that you won't miss them if they get zapped to oblivion on their way to tie up. Or you could just get the hand full of characters that are able to carry more than one friendly and drop three maggia goons adjacent to an opponent. Other than that I wouldn't waste a valuable telekinesis on them. Unless you use the new cosmic boy figure that can use tk twice per turn! Besides that just keep them marching....
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but when it says "printed defense value," that's just the printed number, right, not whatever defense power the attacker has as well? So if someone with and 18D and Impervious attacks Maggia Goon, I could have his defense become 18, but he wouldn't also get Impervious? Or would he?

This question can be answered by reading his defense special. I would just tell you the answer...but I need to promote more reading in this world.

Department H,
While I am always an advocate for reading, as well as encouraging others to read, I must say- your response wasn't helpful at all. Seeing as how I quoted his rules text by saying "PRINTED DEFENSE VALUE," I don't think my ability to read is really the issue here. It's more that I'm a newer player and I'm trying to understand if Defense Value is only the Defense number, or if a character's Defense Value also includes whatever Defense power is showing on their dial.
Thanks so much for taking the time to quote me and then weigh in with your enlightened and educated response. I'll be sure to Private Message you any future Heroclix questions I have, as you are clearly a wellspring of knowledge and a paradigm of community spirit and goodwill.
