Here's a scenario from back in the day and I'm reposting it to see if there are any takers on trying this out and seeing how it plays. There were changes I made but I don't think I would make anymore, UNLESS it really makes sense to me. So without further ado, THE ZOMBIE SCENARIO:
OK, crazy title aside, I really have been itching to create a Zombie Scenario to either try at home or perhaps at my local venue. Before someone says "great, not another zombie...thing" hear me out. I really haven't seen anything about a zombie scenario nor have I ever seen one run, so that's why I want to see one created then try it out! I came up with one a while back and I want to get it out there and see what you, the HCRealmers, think about it. So here goes...
Zombie Scenario
Team Build: 400 pts
- Any Indoor/Outdoor map will do (it'd be fun either way). An interesting map to use would be the Universe Starter Set Map (13x13) which is very representative of getting swarmed by zombies in a small, disconcerting space.
- Players roll one die. The highest roll gets to choose whether he/she is the zombie or the heroes (or if one of the players is sadistic and wants to be the zombie king/queen, let 'em - if not, then roll the dice).
For Team Zombie, here are the rules:
- characters must be 65pts or less, you can pick one character to be 100pts or less to represent the Uber Zombie (represents a Nemesis or Tank character)(EDIT: Increased point cap).
- if the zombie had range it is replaced with 2 range (one target) (EDIT: Took away Battle Fury). All their powers are canceled and instead they possess the following: Tireless Pursuit: Zombies treat all elevated terrain (except for blocking terrain) as hindering terrain without having to stop their movement(EDIT: Took away Charge, they have Indomitable which offsets pushing damage, took away Leap/Climb). Insatiable Hunger: Zombies can use B/C/F (EDIT: No more Steal Energy) Undead: Zombies can use Toughness Must Feed!: Zombies can use Exploit Weakness
- Zombie Team Ability: Undead Swarm: When 3 or more zombies are next to each other, they gain +1 to Attack or Damage for each adjacent zombie character. Choose 1 zombie character and give them Flurry.
For Team Survivor, the rules are simple:
All the rules are the same except for three changes:
1 - Characters must be 100pts or less. (EDIT: increased point value cap)
2 - A critical hit on a zombie and it's lights out! This represents that hero either putting a bullet in the zombie's brain or lopping it's head off.
3 - If a zombie critically hits a hero, that character loses a click of life every turn till it's KO'd (they can fight and move as normal until then). Leave it on the first KO, DO NOT take that character off the board. Every turn after that, the player who controls Team Zombie clicks the dial at the end of their turn until it reaches it's first click of life - they have officially joined the ranks of the undead (meaning they belong to Team Zombie) - Zombie rules now apply to that character.
