Depends on what you mean by that. I don't currently own more than a handful of cards, and I don't play in tournaments anymore, but if a friend wants to play a casual game on occasion, I'm usually up for that.
Really? The rules for magic are one of the things I do like about the game. I'll just repost what I said elsewhere about the game recently when it came up in discussion:
Magic certainly has done some pretty cool things, though, and I'm actually about to link some articles from them for Haven.
That guy is telling people they're wrong, because he's telling people they're wrong.
The build isn't telling people they're wrong; the guy is.
To your first question, other people have written more about this and done it better than I probably have, so I'm just going to provide you some links that I think will explain it if you read them. The second article is more directly relevant to our conversation, but the first one is useful for context. Just try to keep an open mind, and I think you'll find them enlightening.
I think what's going on is you're looking at "Melvin" and thinking that it equals "Spike," which is not actually how it works. A Melvin can also be a Johnny, Timmy, or Spike, just like a Vorthos also is one of those other types as well. You appear to be conflating two different axes.
I like to use Harpua as an example of this--he doesn't read comics at all, and just plays this game for the game. He's much more Melvin than Vorthos. But he's not a Spike; he's very much a Johnny. He builds his teams based on things like combinations of special powers that he thinks looks interesting. (Ask him about his "Rube Goldberg" team sometime, and you'll see what I mean.)
Obviously, the profiles listed in that article aren't perfect, nor do that translate 100% to HeroClix, but I think they provide a useful framework for discussion, and especially if you've never read them before, you can get a lot out of it.
Psych profiles are all well and good. (Except the fact that I'm tired of having those particular ones thrown my way. (No frustration directed at you. How could you know?)) But their usefulness is only evident when and where the rubber hits the road. "Tinkerers" who just want to take something apart and see how it works are still looking to optimize it in much the same way that "Crushers" wish to. Often, it's the Tinkerer's tinkering that puts the weapon in the hand of the Crusher. The end result is the same. The message is the same: I won because your team is not optimized like mine.
Also, how many Tinkerers actually exist? How many have you encountered here on the Realms, and how many have you met in tournaments?
The fact that you say you have never encountered a PWNZR/Sirlin/Sun Tzu disciple outside of that other forum and VGA when I see more of them than the opposite, indicates to me that it's possible to have very different experiences both online and in real life when it comes to playing Clix.
Maybe you've encountered more Tinkerers than Crushers, but that sure as hell hasn't been my experience.

I just wish I'd encounter more Gamers.
That's not what I said at all. There are certainly a few Spikes/ "play to win" types on this forum.
What I did say is that I don't see them telling other people they're "wrong" or "not really playing HeroClix" for not having the same approach.
There's a difference between saying, "My play style is valid," and saying, "your play style is invalid." That's what I've been trying to get across for the past several pages, and I think I'm pretty much out of ways to say it.

I never said "invalid" either.
Again, I've TOTALLY seen that from several Crushers, not only on this forum and in relation to this game, but other games as well. Hell, I think I've seen that exact verbage.
