Sorry I'm sure this question has been asked numerous times, but a quick glance didn't reveal any answers. Can Indomitable, Sharpshooter and Traits be outwitted?

they are not traits they are combat abilities and some can be outwitted.
The ones you mentioned can be outwitted, but the symbol will still remain.

To be more specific grant a combat ability and those can be outwitted.


Traits on the other hand can not be outwitted unless it says in the trait that a power is possessed.

i agree with this. simple and clear. traits cannot be outwitted unless it say in the trait that a power is possessed.

And the word used on cards to represent possessed can also be, 'has' but does not include 'can use'

So if a trait says someone 'HAS' x power, than yes it can be outwitted, and if it says they 'CAN USE' x power, than no, it cannot be outwitted, just in case you wanted it to be too complicated

The trait can never be countered.

The powers and combat abilities it causes a figure to possess can be countered.

Just read use/possess again then go back and read outwit.

Just so I'm sure I understand you:

A character can not counter Willpower on a figure which possesses Indomitable.

However, they can counter Indomitable, and therefore the character could not use Willpower.

That's what you meant, right?
