For Example:
When this click is revealed due to damage taken, stop turning the dial. Sodam Yat can use Impervious and the Quintessence team ability. Sodam Yat can't be healed and this power can't be ignored.
Since pulse wave can not ignore the impervious, you get to roll for it. My question is, though, would it reduce the unavoidable damage?

Pulse Wave does not deal unavoidable damage. It deals normal damage. It normally isn't reduced or ignored since typically a character in a Pulse Wave attack has all of the game effects it can use ignored.
In this instance, Impervious would not be ignored and the character could roll for Impervious to potentially reduce the damage dealt to 0.
The underlined part is what is tripping me up.
I was under the impression that when a special power granted the use of standard powers along with other effects and had the "this power can't be ignored" stipulation, meant that the SP could not be ignored as a whole, but the standard powers granted by the Sp could be ignored.
Has this always been the case, or is this a change? If so when,
If your interested in having your maps Laminated, send me a PM
If a special power or other game effect states that it can’t be ignored, then any standard powers or abilities the effect allows a character to use also can’t be ignored.

And that is a relatively recent addition.
so I'm not crazy then?

Just remember the power itself must specifically say it cannot be ignored for this to trigger. If a Power Cannot be ignored for another reason (other than saying It Cannot Be Ignored) then the powers it grants can be ignored.
Case in Point. Resurrection Man's trait cannot be ignored because it alters the way he would be KO'd. However, the Powers he gains from his trait can be ignored because the trait does not say it cannot be ignored.

I remember having an issue with this int he past, though I can not remember which character or power it was.
I just thought that it was ridiculous that there was a special power that could not be ignored, but you could ignore the powers within that special.
Glad to see that that is (hopefully) not going to be a thing, now.
It used to be ruled where you did ignore the Standard Power, but then the ruling got reversed. I think it had something to do with DC10 Brainiac's I'll Show You Impervious SP.
Don't believe in yourself, believe in me who believes in you! Set your sights for the sun!

That might have been it.
Ignoring the impervious within the power but not ignoring the "stop" aspect of the same power.

Opposite actually. It used to be that you didn't ignore the Stop portion, but ignored the Impervious so you could ping him with 1 damage Pulse Waves...

See, it's rulings like this that get on my nerves because the "average" player doesn't get the chance to read these forums.
This is why there was a MAJOR debate on Braniac's Defense power. Just keep it simple where the entire Trait/Power ignores it.
But then that would make sense, so I guess it doesn't belong in Heroclix ruling.
