I built a team as follows for an upcoming friendly game with some friends. 600 Points, No Resources, 3 players.

IIM 043 Iron Man & War Machine
IIM 038 Iron Man
- IIM 053 Iron Paladin sidelined
IIM 029a War Machine

(So far, this totals to 500 points.)

I then added,

IIM 002 Rescue
IIM 016 Pepper Potts
- IIM 002 Rescue sidelined

This brings it up to a flat 600 points.

Then I got crazy.


I had the notion of removing Pepper and Rescue, and in place of those 100 points, adding something completely off the wall.

DOTA 2 102 Witch Doctor

Which flats out to 600 points still.

I figured, Pep and Rescue were there for support, plus putting Witch Doctor in gives me some outwit and nice Regen, if I can use it.


What do you all think of these two setups? Which would more likely perform better? Should I rethink my build altogether? I have a ton of other stuff from the IIM set, in addition to an Iron Man Mk 17 from IM3, Fear Itself Iron Man, and the WoS Iron Man.

Ideas? Criticisms?

I'm having trouble seeing how doubling up with certain "Stark" characters equates to a "friendly game".

In a 3-player game, I would not bother with trying for a theme team based on keywords. I would go more for a team featuring Tony Stark, war Machine, a couple of Iron Man suits and then Tony's closest friends. Something like:

That way at least it doesn't appear like an obvious min-max force.

Meh, my friends love a good "casual" tabletop thrashing. I'm typically happy to oblige, and I happen to love Stark teams.
