That is correct.
Don't get me wrong, I love Hypersonic.
But his Special is way better than HSS.
TWO attacks are way better than one.

And by that time in the game, if he has been hit onto that click,
it is a virtual lock that enemies will be within attacking distance.

This guy + decoy via trait + shield from battery= whoa baby. Add in a few manhunters, catapult and wall for some TK/barrier help from the POGS and this is a mobile murder machine

This destroys hypersonic, seriously this is by far greater then Hypersonic.

He can Teleport, hit a guy, teleport again and hit another guy.

Its Hypersonic, but better since its a placement effect.

Worth the 180 specially when you drop Agnir on his butt.

Though I concede all the options listed above for constructs have merit, in casual games I am really thinking tossing on the wall, with the old "Construct" feat. From the battery I would give the shield. I think a +3 defense at range would just generally be nice. Once you hit that stop click, a 22 defense sounds pretty solid. You can also potentially tie up any serious would be threats with your wall. I know it makes him over half your force in 400 point games but that is why we were given Recruits, Abin Sur and if need be Soranik Natu

Finally a Kyle with the sculpt I was hoping for, and a power set that *sort* of reflects his power potentials. It definitely nails the "Ion" period of his arc, anyway. I love it, love it, LOVE IT!!! (Big time Kyle fan here!)


Plus, with his Impervious having that "can't be ignored" phrasing, he can't be pulse waved!

I wish it was his movement ability that gave him Quintessence. One click of Q on Ion aint gonna cut it.

this guy is gonna be a staple on some of my teams. i love every earth GL, and this is the best version of kyle made.

quick strategy, pay 10 points for shield, assign decoy, and you have a character that very likely isn't going to be hit. and if he does get hit, he's going to wreck your face with duo attack.

Though I love that strategy I can't say enough how much I just love hanging out behind a wall.
