you still get all the theme probs you would have gotten. its just you would not be able to give the switched character an action to do the theme team prob. the reason being you check for theme team during force construction. while copycat takes a character at just before the beginning of the game around the time you roll to see who goes first.

when copycats swap power ends...does the two figures swap places or does the chars stay in the squares they are in after the two become friendly to the original owners?

Ok, we're not on NC's page, but clearly the infamous WoS NC is anything but fun, and superior to any other existing version !

But to the question "do you need to win that bad", I'll say that people play much worse things in tournaments, relics being n°1 on my "competitive and not fun" list.

As for Copycat himself, it's been stated in another thread that you can counter him by borrowing someone's Regen, for example the one from 25 pts Batgirl (possibly clicked right away to her regen through Blind Al). Thought that deserved to be mentionned here. ;)

So if i'm reading this correct one of your clicks and the opponents trade alliegence without swapping start zones (it dosen't say anything about that) and you both dogpile on the now enemy click for easy points?

Played her for the first time tonight, and she was just amazing. All 3 rounds I was able to KO her, and then also the other figure, getting a huge amount of points. My favorite thing though, was being able to use figures that I didn't personally have in my collection. One of my favorite figures in a long time. And also, I can see how she really shakes up the meta-scene.

Not to split the proverbial hairs of your post, but there isn't a "the meta scene." Rather, there can be(and are) many meta scenes based on locality. That being said, I'm yet to see her used in the wild of my local "meta."

I've used her to varying degrees of success, but only in casual home games.

@BrokenSVT - Well, I just meant that I had heard of her being something to watch out for at big tournaments.... like it would be something you'd have to account for when building a team. Yeah, I don't know if anyone's ever used her before I did around my area either. Tonight was my first time using her, and I've never played against her. Personally, I try not to pay too much attention to the competitive scene, after having played clix for like 7 years, I've kind of settled into a more casual "for fun" type play style.

Just a heads up, she's a perfect counter to all these people playing Faust lately. There's always that one douchebag bringing Faust to the table each week. Just bring a Copycat. At least until they errata him, and then balance can be restored to the force...

She's a decent counter to someone attempting to hide Nighthawk Prime in a corner all game.

If I am playing against a copycat and they switch with a character of mine, can I give copycat the nurse construct from one of the power battery resources and, during my first turn, have copycat use regeneration, causing the characters to switch back?

yes. But remember, the characters don't switch spots on the map, so whatever they stole from you would be surrounded by the rest of their team, ripe for the KOing

I'm pretty sure you place the new charter in you starting area. As you switch "before" placing charters on the map. Which i read as the new figure is friendly to your force before being placed. And friendly characters get placed in your starting area.
