since prof x requires a double power action be given in place of a power action, if you have 2 on the field, what happens?
1) No character can be given a power action. Period
2) Character is given 4 power actions. Since they can't be given more than 2, are they dealt 2 avoidable damage
The effect would not be multiplied. A character would be given a double power action instead of a power action regardless of how many Professor X's are on the board.
I CAN'T LET YOU DO THIS: Professor X can use Mind Control and is not dealt unavoidable damage from it. Opposing characters within range must be given double power actions instead of power actions.
All that power does is make it so that any power which normally costs a power action to activate now costs a double power action.
For example Running Shot:
Quote
RUNNING SHOT Give this character a power action; halve its speed value for the action. Move this character up to its speed value and it may be given a ranged combat action as a free action.
It now costs a double power action instead.
Free actions, close combat actions, ranged combat actions, and move actions are unaffected.
In addition to what vanisherpunisher said, I suspect you may be incorrectly reading "power action" as "non-free action." This doesn't affect move actions or close/ranged combat actions, so the scope of the power is a lot more limited than I think you think it is.

No, they'd get one token as normal. Only power actions are affected by Professor X.
Agreed - please (re)read the PAC - if it says "give this character a power action", then Prof X would make that a double power action.
See: charge, TK, HSS, running shot, ranged combat expert, pulse wave, duo attack, multi attack, and others.
Not applicable for "give this character a close/ranged combat action" or "a move action"; only "power action".
Consider combining him with Senator Robert Kelly for additional "fun".

If Senator Robert Kelly is KO'd by an opposing character with the chosen keyword, all friendly characters with the chosen keyword are healed of 1 damage.
Effectively "shuts down" opposing character power actions ... go ahead, push yourself to death, see if I care ...
Anyway, I'm more tempted to have a team of chucks including Cerebro, the one from M&M with the lovely 12 range and the prof with defend. You never know when that will come in handy!
Always try to leave an internet argument at lvl 1!
It doesn't say pay an extra token, it just becomes a double so 2 would have no more effect than 1
Also, it says within range. If I give the action outside his range of 8 his power has no effect so I could RS or HSS and zip in blast or punch no problem
2 WOULD increase the area affected though so long as you separated them
Bertie, add the stat saphire lantern complete and them its a case of........ okay so push yourself to death and while you are doing it, please keep taking mystics damage if you actually decide to attack anyway.
