Eh, at least it gives hard core supes fans a dial they can be in love with. ...
I am actually a "hardcore Supes fan," and I think it's the most ridiculously broken piece I've seen in ages, and wish it had never been made. Those stats, with those powers, and that trait? He's an auto-win against just about anything, and that is *never* fun. Screw this piece.

@Tim Drake: I'd actually argue that the game has reached a cheese saturation level that even in resource free environs this Supes is far from unbeatable. Even removing the idea of trump-figure matchups, there are quite a few strategies that can actually neutralize this Man of Steel. Playing at multiple venues with varying levels of competitiveness, even the least cutthroat group just isn't that impressed/concerned by this dial despite realizing that yes, it will be fielded often, and yes, he'll have 20 or better defense a lot of the time while also having the disgustosity of 12+ attack, 5 damage, and check dat alpha. In a way, the game is finally ready for a Superman like this under 300 points. Whether that's good, bad, or even completely true is obviously debatable, but that's my take on it.

Feb 2015: JL Trinity War has have given us the CSA, playable and together. Twice. ROCK ON!
REClixed: Justice for Dmitri Pushkin (your sacrifice will not be forgotten)! New generic Rocket Red @50-75 points while we're at it? Still no 19DV Defender? (WoS Groot doesn't count)
Power Girl AND Bust.
this mentality of "oh x character beats y character" is stupid. Why are we comparing figures to others when we should just be appreciating that we're getting a decent superman piece. Instead we're comparing him to Kyle, because of a 70 point difference and a free construct. Oh well, that's heroclix for you. Give Supes the book and let him go ham(mer).
Won't get you far, but oh well, there's playing to have fun and playing to win. If you're all in it to win, then Kyle is the piece for you, have fun with that, I'll be having actual fun playing Superman.
Best superman ever!! I can't believe he is under 300 points, finally a brick dirty enough to take on these under 100 broken characters. It may be cheese, it may be broken..but in reality that is superman. Hence, I love it!!! I haven't said this in a loooong time.. Thx

I'm sorry if someone asked a question my lord. They were just asking if fielded if who could win, not everyone likes just having fun and then being defeated. No one go's to table thinking how can i make this fun even if i lose. Its a game like any other, i also tryed finding strategy's for other games as well. It's JUST a question hell if he asked who'd win in the comic's if kyle and supes fought would u still be saying this? Or is it your just sick of meta? No question is stupid NONE knowledge is only gained through questions. So im sorry it's not stupid.

Even leaving aside the utter grammatical nightmare that quote is, allow me to point out that actually yes, people do go to play the game thinking "how can I make this fun even if I lose." I do. I want to win, obviously, but if I had fun, I don't care if I lose. Same for the reverse. I want to win, but if my opponent didn't have fun playing the game, then my victory is pointless and I feel bad. I'm hardly the only one who thinks this way.

For increased user fun you can use Predator for possession,
and use the Star Sapphire Lantern to give him the Pink Nurse.
Sups now has Shape Change and Mystic Team, Regen,
Energy Shield or Side Step, +1 Range from Predator and +1 from the Ring,
a potential of more Range from the Emotional Spectrum,
13 HSS, 13 Super Strength, 20 Defence.
Theme team at 300.
Can I just point out the fact that this doesn't work the way you think it does?
Relic: 5-6.
LOVE: If this character already has the Star Sapphires keyword, modify all of its combat values except damage by +1. Otherwise, this character has the Star Sapphires keyword, the Mystics team ability, and can use Shape Change.
You possessed him so he has the keyword...... +1 to stats yes, regen yes, +1 to range yes but he won't get the shape change and Mystics. Instead you have to pick between three of those powers (shape change, energy shield, and sidestep) It's still dirty but not nearly as bad as what was thought.
I don't like him. He's too good for 250 because of inspiring hero. With just regular leadership he would probably be one of the best 250 point pieces in the game. Inspiring hero just puts him over the top into silly status. Not that it's really too much for Superman, but it certainly is too much for 250 points.

I do not care for grammar as it appears my point came across. And i'm sorry this is a game like any other game, i.e. chess, risk, etc. One person every game no matter what will feel worse than the other. There is no way around it being the loser never rocks. And if i did sit and lose every game i don't care how fun it is their's just no point in playing it. I understand trying to have fun, but no one anticipates a loss. They all try to win so in this scenario of x vs y and who would win, why wouldn't you want other peoples opinions on the matter?

Who's doesn't want anyone else's opinions? You stated something that was factually incorrect -- that no one "tries to have fun even if they lose." I do. Others do. That has nothing to do with not trying to win. Yes, everyone tries to win, but for some, having fun is more important than winning on its own. I feel better after a hard-fought, close game that I lost than a I do if I devastated my opponent and took the victory while leaving him utterly demoralized. In any case, none of that has anything to do with the figure, and quite honestly, I don't see how any of your comments relate to the discussion about Superman here. Rather than continue this pointless exercise of trying to get through what I have to assume is either a language or maturity barrier, I will withdraw.

depending on what else comes out in this set it looks like it's gonna take finesse to play him at his full point value in 300 point games... however... this piece looks to be a failed attempt to put the "super" in Superman (i.e. failed attempt bring back the ICON VET Superman, lacking range, lacking damage, etc, etc). whether for good or for ill, the game has changed alot since ICONS: special powers, traits, resourses and relics have added whole new dimensions to the game... and "Outwit" is still "Outwit". I hope this piece works out, so far, it looks like the only way this will work on 300 point games is to put the old fortitude feat on him.
You know what I call people who care more about having fun than winning? Losers or liars. Or both. Sorry if I offend anyone I am not calling out anyone in particular but it's the truth and I had to say it and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Who the hell plays a game and doesn't expect to win? A loser. Who plays a game and has fun whilst getting their butts kicked? Losers, because they are used to it. Maybe someone can explain it to me I just can't wrap my head around having fun while you're losing or being satisfied after a loss. And there is a big difference between hating to lose and being a poor sport.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

@SumDizzle88: For the same reasons these things are also true in other games, but also because not all losing is created equal. Truly getting your @$$ handed to you in a no contest match is fun for only a rather small number of people (and I'd call them masochists or the most generous people EVER, not *just* losers), but if it's a close game then it's entirely possible for both players or teams to have had fun regardless. The set of people who can have fun so long as they had a real chance of winning is a lot larger than you give credit for. Yeah, sure, most people want to win, but recognizing that there's only one winner in any given match/tournament/etc. and choosing to have fun regardless of outcome (because no one has a 100% win rate) is maturity. Heck, I've been known to bring out the Rocket Red Brigade just for giggles when I don't care about the prize because it's more fun for me to be funny rather than competitive that day...but I wouldn't say I make it a regular habit. Some people do it to roleplay, others to play a comic accurate team no matter how badly it will lose, other to improve their own game by learning, and others just to have stories to tell. People are weird like that.
