Unless the sculpt I pull has him holding an oversized comic-styled gun, this is the worst Aquaman ever. Two targets, 6 range, Energy Explosion and Penetrating/Psychic Blast, on Aquaman?! No thank you.
Now THIS is the Aquaman I've been waiting for! A different approach to him that most Arthur Curry figures for far but considering his power names definitely accurate, I will be fielding this guy all the time.
Great figure, outwit or perplex choice is amazing. Infinte range/improve Targetting everything when using those powers on certain individuals is amazing.
Running shot double target pen blast is amazing.
Yup great dial indeed, but has anyone seen the Aquaman dial? I would gladly conceded the damage power as a cool aquaman representation, but the move power set up and that Attack power on the opening dial totally wrong. This guy is w better range fighter than Firestorm, Cyborg, or more than half the Green Lanterns in WOL.
Remember, Every heroclix figure represents that character at different times in the comics. This one seems to focus on him with his trident and the powers it grants him. Seems legit to me. And it is finally a large aquaman. I feel this is what we needed for a long time.
Few have laid eyes on Darth Pickle from Krypton and lived to tell the tale!

It is a large misconception that Aquaman is a secondary brawler. He is (And i know ill be bashed for saying this) The marvel Equivalent of Thor. He holds a mystical weapon that controls lighting, he speaks in dramatic clauses and speech patterns, he is strong enough to punch superman and be punched by superman and still stand.....this is a VERY accurate dial. Unfortunately water characters have a bad rep....but based on their comic and cartoon personas....they are very formidable.
This is a cool representation of Aquaman, but why 172 points? I can see some of his options being expensive.... but his damage numbers and defensive powers are too low for the cost. I could maybe see him being worth the points if he could use all of those powers, rather than having to make the choice.

Finally, Adrian Grenier gets the respect he deserves! Wait ...

With all the range powers that are clearly inappropriate to his abilities in the actual comic books, I'm going to call this guy Video-Game Aquaman. I only mean that as a mild insult, though. Any Aquaman is a good Aquaman as far as I am concerned.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
He's expensive, for sure. But he also brings some MUCH needed support powers to Atlantis theme-teams. Leadership, Enhancement, Outwit, Perplex, transporter. And there are so many good close-combat Atlantis figures, it's good to get someone who can shoot. A little reluctantly, he's my go-to Aquaman for Atlantis teams.
