Playing last week and I was using slosh 008 Phantom Girl, and opponent lobbied that constructs are not relics, since they did not have the relic "gear" symbol, so she couldn't turn them off, is this correct?
That being said they are assigned the battery which is a resource and the ring is assigned to the battery. So by losing the battery they would lose the ring. but they would keep their constructs so they could use whatever power it granted.

they are not relics. If they are assigned by the lanterns though they do indeed get turned off by phantom girl as far as i can see from the battery card.

INTANGIBILITY AND DISRUPTION: Phantom Girl can use Phasing/Teleport. When she uses Phasing/Teleport and passes through any squares occupied by characters holding an object, she may remove any of those objects from the game. When she uses Phasing/Teleport and passes through characters assigned any relics or resources, those characters can't use those relics or resources until your next turn.

Corps Members - When a friendly character has any Constructs on its card, it is called a Corps Member and is assigned the Power Battery. Friendly Corps Members can use the ability of the Constructs on its card and the ability of the Power Ring attached to the Power Battery. If a friendly Corps Member is KO'd, any Constructs on its card are re-attached to the Power Battery. If the Power Battery is KO'd, all Constructs are removed from friendly Corps Members' cards.
The bolded says while they are corps members they can use the constructs so if they are no longer corps members because they are no longer assigned the battery then they cant use the constructs till the effect ends.
So they would definitely lose the benefits of the ring and emotional spectrum if applicable. Whether or not they can use the powers from the construct is still unknown.
In my opinion, if they are no longer "Corps Members" then they would not be able to use the powers from the constructs since that ability comes from the Battery which was previously established they cannot use. That's just opinion though, we'll see how they rule eventually.... hopefully.

i dont see why they would have to think about the first part of his question. the card actually says that they can use the construct because they are corps members. so if they are no longer corps members they cant use them.
I think the reason they said they will answer at a later point is for the reassigning of another construct and hence the resource after having it taken off by phantom girl.
so as for being able to use the construct i think it still cant be used. one of the oranges here will probably chime in soon, id like to see what they think.

The gear symbol does not indicate that something is a relic. The gear symbol indicates that something is a special object.
All relics will have a gear symbol because all relics are special objects.
Not all items with gear symbols are relics because special objects are not all relics.
A relic will actually say it is a relic on the card. (Three or four early ones did not use the term, but it was added via the PG.)
