Comparing this guy to other 350 point characters I don't see in anyway how they can stand up against him. First off the double TA of Power Cosmic and Mystics is a great combo I haven't seen since AVM Chase Loki. The 9 range now a days is a great number we rarely see anything above that anymore. Never has below a 17 defense or below a 10 attack value. He has checkered prob and perplex (which I think AVM Loki had also) except this figure here has it his entire dial. Then the Dark Elf support figures in this set help him out even more mainly the starter set Scout that can give him enhancement. Stick 3 of those guys around him and he is dealing 8 damage to anything first click. I don't see FI Odin standing up to this guy at all or even Chanos...

I 100% agree with the first part of what you said, this guy is a tent pole silver bullet. There are only a handful of tent poles that could stand a chance against his trait One of them is the Elder Grandmaster. His impervious can't be used however his attack special (test my luck against yours) allows him to ignore damage all together and it works because its not a defense power!
The two tent poles you chose is where our opinions vary. If malekith hit either fear itself Odin or chanos then he stands a chance. However Odin's maneuverability prevents him from ever being hit in the first place! His design allows him to hit from afar and NOT get hit in return. Chanos stands a chance against him because malekith is a 350 point high cost monster and would qualify for teleport my greatest enemies. Chanos could suck him in a "kill box" trap and with lucky rolls his entire tram could ko him. (Not without mystic backlash consequences though. ) however to be REALLY cheap chanos would have skimmer on his team and every time his kill box team attacks malekith he would take a mystic backlash as well! I think your two tent pole choices and grandmaster would stand a chance.....everybody else....no chance.

In his trait, "defense power" (that cannot be used) refers to any power that appears in the defense slot on hit character's dial, or to any power it has that is written under the Defense paragraph in the PAC?

No. Malekiths trait only works on standard powers that are located in the 'defense slot' on the dial itself. Powers located under the defense portion of the pac aren't defense powers, they are standard powers and are for the majority located within the defense slot on a dial.
Traited invulnerability or mastermind would still work. If a character can use impervious as a damage power....then it still works. Super senses is under the "defense" category yet it has been ruled that it still works and isn't cancelled by malekiths broken trait. The Thor and Loki duo would get to keep their invulnerability.

I disagree...This guy has much more maneuverability than Odin does top dial. First off his speed value is 4 more than Odin who has 8 and this guy 12 AND he has Flight to get past any terrain in his way which is one of the Only things FI Odin is lacking...but in the end it is about where the battle is such as the map and placement of the character. As for Chanos I was just comparing figure to figure not figure against Chanos and his whole team. Because in that case no figure would stand up against a "kill box" because that is what it is designed to do...kill. As for the Grandmaster thats awesome! As long as you can give him a token and roll good.

Well we are to assume Malekith has a team too right? Players don't pit a single figure against a single figure. Well....unless its a battle scenario. I admit from the beginning that there is very little any tent pole can do about malekith. He's a monster....I just thought it was strange that your two choices have the best chance against him. Grandmaster is only 250 points and would have an uphill battle against him. Its not a challenge to time out when malekith would move up to attack him and when to clear tokens. My point is he doesn't NEED to roll good for match your luck against mine. Malekith has a ridiculously high attack value, meaning his successful attack roll would be low. Grandmaster would most likely only need to roll a 6 or higher to cancel it out....and that's IF malekith survives moving up to base grandmaster.....who is in stealth.
According to the way 'you' play Odin....NOONE can outmaneuver the all father. Through the uru forge you granted him plus 3 range. Odin utilized telekinesis to gain flight and literally control the board. Seriously....he doesn't have to even try hard to outmaneuver malekith. There are multiple ways to grant him flight as well. One being mandarins rings. I think we both agree that Malekith is a tent pole killer. But it depends on how well one rolls of course. The only problem us malekith has a 12 attack with probability control. :/ so he won't be missing to much.

Using two of these Malekith's I stood up to Chanos. He pulled them both into his "kill box," all his attacks missed and I proceeded to take his team apart. 1500 point game, lasted about 15 mins.

I'm pretty sure TWO malekiths conviently placed adjacent to thanos could kill him with little to no effort at all. Hell....ONE malekith could destroy Chanos if he he gets the first hit. But then again it sounds like the opponent that was using chanos....wasn't using chanos correctly. It sounds as if he was just eager to use the cliche kill box strategy. Without the right kill box, malekith would make short work of anyone. But if I were given 1500 points and a Chanos figure....I would've done things MUCH differently. For instance I would NEVER teleport TWO tent pole killing malekiths adjacent to my tent pole. Chanos has many other abilities to take advantage to out maneuver malekith. His 12 range is nice....eventually the toy with you special will help. But exploiting the 'Drained the cube' defense special is a great way to take on malekith. Sure he negates defense specials...but not this one. :)
Errr....wait a minute....he ignores that one too! Geesh...malekith is a real monster isn't he?
pretty good dial for a time lord. but only, like, a crazy power-hungry one. and thank goodness he doesn't have any healing capability. cause i have had So much trouble taking him down. i do look forward to playing him, though.
BANG, pa-TING

I know people dont like when you bring up relics or resources to rate a model, but this guy with Angrirs hammer and free quakes that ignore defense powers is redonk. Because of this guy I am in 2nd place for the AvX Dark Phoenix Cyclops by 1 point. Hopefully my FI Thor can bring home the gold! But even without a resource this guy is a beast, I prefer him at his 225 point value, because he's still a beast. I said beast a lot.......beast.
I played this guy and strange with d20 vs King Thor and wizzer. He never moved off 1st clix. Mix of bad rolls and good attacks in the game game into play. I like him dark elfs in the hooouse!
