@darkbru: I was alluding to gameplay without resources or Entities, as they are standard in most competitive builds, currently. In a "fun" game using an Inhumans theme w/ 50 point Lockjaw, you can add the TC and use the remaining pts for the ATA.
Heh... Heheh.... Hahaha.... MWAHAHAH! Thane, this is your personal Apotheosis!! Everyones talking about Thane's wonderful 9 damage combo (Pen/Psych against 2 tokens w/ free action pulse wave) but now... Now... Thane (115), Terrigen Crystal (5), Karnak (75), Crystal (75) for 270. You can pump Thane up to
11
11 (+2 from Karnak & Crystal Perplex)
18
4 (+2 from action tokens) (+2 from 5-6 Terrigen roll) (+1 from Crystal enhancement) (+6 from 1 targ Pulsewave dmg depl accounted)
Means that you can effectively get off a 15 damage turn!!! On a good turn you can essentially end the game.

@Prom .... sounds good and all, but Karnak and Crystal have to be within 3 to perplex Thane, and Crystal within one to enhance him, which means the pulsewave from Thane would not count as 6 damage (only good if 1 target is in range), but would be reduced to 1 penetrating for each figure that is within range (including your own but not including Thane).
Sorry, but nice try. It would be awesome! :-)
edit: Ah ... I see ... once you have finished your regular attack, you could still potentially move Karnak and Crystal out of range before the free PW occurs.
I assume the rule of 3 doesn't apply to his regular hit because the +2 from the action tokens says "increase damage dealt to a hit character by 1 for each action token that character is assigned", so technically it does not increase Thane's damage value and therefore does not apply?

Absolutely. Rule of 3 doesn't apply. And I was thinking that you'd want to running shot Thane to the enemy to finish your pulse wave, making it 1 target meaning the perplex still applies. It would take at least 5 turns to set up, which is a lot, but the devastation of dealing 15 pen damage.
This relic is all about catching that perfect stat bump for just the right turn. I was using the Fast Forces Karnak with this on him and it was FILTHY. Charge + Flurry with 5 damage? Also don't forget with Maximus using the Inhuman Perplex to bump his attack up to 12 and an Alpha Primitive beside Karnak to Empower and nothing is surviving that SLAP SLAP.

Ok I got a question about this. I have always used this on Thane (once I decided to actually use relics for once) and was told that relics cannot be assigned. I thought one like the Terrigen Crystal could be assigned to a character. So my question is can the terrigen crystal be assigned or can it not be assigned?

Unless there is an effect specifically saying the Terrigen Crystal can be assigned to a character, it must be played as a relic on the map. Who knows, maybe a character in a future set will have a game effect similar to the one that allows the Cosmic Control Rod to be assigned to Annihilus. But for now, you have to pick it up like a relic.

Ah ok. So if I had the Hulk pick it up (assuming it's picked up like objects) then he can use it for the remainder of the game then or until he's defeated right?

To pick up a relic, you put your character in the same square as the relic and give it a power action to roll a d6. if the d6 roll matches what you need to pick it up (4-6 for this relic, +1 to the roll for Inhumans), put the relic on the character's card and that character can use the relic for the rest of the game.
Relics are immobile, and cannot be picked up with Super Strength.
