Fear Itself Wolverine might be cheating a bit but there are a ton of wolverines in the 125-150 range that you could easily swap in and drop the feat if needed.

That set up comes out to 599 points and can be really destructive. Just make sure you pick a map with a lot of hindering and you'll most likely have the game. When I ran that team at my local shop it did far better than I thought it would have.

Oh a group I could get into. Major Gen 13 Junkie, Justice League and a lot of the DC Novelty stuff from the late 80's and early 90's. From Marvel New Warriors, and the old Force Works.

With Firestar, Darkhawk, and Speedball it's starting to look like you can get a decent base for a modern New Warriors team. Still need the older Nova from the GFGG set. Haven't seen Namorita, Justice, or Night Thrasher.

Namorita was in the Avengers set.
Justice and Night Thrasher were both in Supernova.

I don't know about everyone else here, but my main thing in the game - when I get to play at all - is to run teams that are in fact 'real', and from the comics/cartoons/etc.

My main pet peeve right now is the lack of a Robin figure with either the Super Friends or Justice League keyword (and, of course, the lack of a SF keyword too). I mean, come on already. With the slew of repeated issue of figures we already have (Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Captain America, etc), why can't we get at least one Robin with this keyword. He was a founding member of the cartoon series, and even had all the powers of the whole team at one point. Not to mention his comic participation too.

Oh well, with the way the game is right now - and the unrelenting repeating of figures from NECA - there is always a chance; though I won't hold my breath...

The thread is a great start but here's an idea. Let's talk about teams that are evenly matched and comic book accurate regardless of point costs. Let's talk about how to play the game outside of the tournament environment

Any one ever put together a scenario of Wolverine unleashed against the Hellfire club? I think a multiple map game with Wolverine on one end fighting through Hellfire goons and the rest of the Xmen against the Hellfire club. Maybe some times activation rules to force wolverine to hurry to attempt a rescue.

Ran this yesterday. Predictably got killed. Still had fun.

I applaud you, although I can't bring myself to play a theme that I know is getting infinitely better in a couple of weeks.

I have 500 points (card age) to work with this week and haven't decided what team I want to play. Teen Titans calls to me now that I have Raven, but something quirky like MODOK's 11 would be great to set in front of my opponent. Oh well, several days to choose.

That's another of my quirks. I can't play with a theme team that has a number in it's name (Fantastic Four, Sinister Six, Fatal Five, you get the picture) and not play with the whole roster. I just can't play a 2 member Fantastic Four.

Yeah, I think that's where MODOK's crew falls to the draft trash can. I think the only time I've managed to use that MODOK was on an AIM team with mostly Clobberin' Time Agents and Medics. Man did I actually wreak havoc with that team.

I never played any of them and have been inspired by The Flash TV show. Also, I knew they wee about to become obsolete and have spent far too much time paying outside of my comfort zone. Zoom is still very useful!

One team I played the other day that was pretty nasty was Cosmic Theme.
I used
GG Chase Thanos with Ion Entity( never happened in the comics, but I did it for the bump in Stats from the power Battery)

And Terraxia
With the Green Power Battery

800 pt game, I was a little under built.
But Hal Jordan and Thanos are 2 of my Favorite Characters and DID Team up for a SMALL time in the Silver Surfer/Green Lantern Crossover.

Thanos took out a TW Hawkman for 8 Damage and Made WOL Kyle Raynor run and Hide!!!
Kyle is a cheesy Piece, but that's what happened when he met some "Real" Cheese!!!

Cool team, didn't realize they had crossed over.

Although Polaris and Korvus were not members of the classic team, they did join during the events surrounding War of Kings. I won 1 of my 3 matches and loved seeing how useful some of those old clix can still be!
