It is time again to post a renouncement and reminder to everyone about the TCGPlayer.com Realms Open Championship 2015 ROC World Cup being held in Atlanta October 16th-18th. BUT that's not all! We have updates! Yup we have added in more stuff. Keep reading to find out....

* The main game room will consist of four dealers and concessions.

* We have added in two more Game rooms. Dice Addiction LLC and will be hosting Dicemaster tournaments, Magic tournaments, and late night Heroclix tournaments in game room 2. Cool Minis or Not (CMON) will be hosting an array of games all weekend in Game Room 3.

We will continue to do renouncements as we add in event details, prizes, and anything else of importance

We are setting this up for the best three days of Heroclix Plus gaming that has ever been. We have a quality hotel at a great price! Everything is on site that you need! 24 hour gaming, many fun and free events, food, and on site entertainment!

So how much does this fabulous three day event cost you? Well its...

Free!

That's right! we have no admission cost, no badges, and you do not have sell your first born child to attend. The ROC Championship does not cost anything to play in. To enter the Quarter Finals you simply need a minimum of 20 TCGPlayer.com points. Don't have any points? Short a few? That's okay! We have a last ditch Super Qualifer you can play in on Friday night. We also will be running sealed ROC & Roll fast play tournaments where you can quickly accumulate points. These points can stand on their own or be used in combination with TCGPlayer.com Max points to gain entry into the ROC Cup!

Not interested in playing in the ROC Cup? Eliminated early? Or maybe you already have qualified for the Finals and have some time to kill. No worries. We have fun events and Battle Royals going throughout the weekend. Some of these events are free and some of them have an entry fee. Check our schedule for time and cost.

Gaming room

Our dedicated gaming room is over 4000 square feet with adequate tables and chairs. We can expand if needed. Inside the room we will have up to five dealer tables. Two of these dealers will be Troll and Toad and HCrelams.com. Troll and Toad will have a large selection of singles for purchase. They love to trade and buy also so don't leave anything home. HCRealms.com will have an assortment of product that will include event T-shirts, maps, dice etc..

The judges table will be computerized and we will post information (pairing) on our projector screen. Speaking of that projector, Glass Cabinets will be on hand for the entire weekend and we are going to video stream prime matches live on the internet and on that same projector.

The gaming room will be open 24/7 so that you can play casual games after hours or just hang out. We know some of you like to make last second changes and test your teams. The game room is open for you!

Two additional game rooms will also be running full force. Dice Addiction in game Room 2 will be running events 24/7 all weekend. CMON will be running demos and games in game room 3. Please see the schedules to find out all the fun events they have in place for you!

Many of you are familiar with the HCRealms.com member appreciation dinner at GenCon each year. You will find this very similar. All players that are participating in the ROC Cup will receive dinner for $5.00. Everyone else is welcome, however anyone not playing in the ROC Cup will pay for their own meal. Also the meal does not include any alcoholic beverages that you may purchase from the bar. All attending should expect a nice meal with selective choices prepared for us by the hotel Chef. We have sampled the food at the onsite restaurant and we were very pleased.

The dinner will also include prize giveaways and a show!

We will provide registration for dinner at a later date but well before the ROC Cup takes place.


For your entertainment pleasure at our social dinner we have included in a Murder Mystery show presented by none other than Realms very own Scot Cramton.

Friday night player tourney

A player run tournament will take place in the gaming hall at midnight. It will be free and will target the casual player (so its going to be a lot of fun) Basically it will be player run and we will provide the prizes!


Dicemasters will be running 24/7 starting at 4:00 pm on Friday in the Dice Addiction game Room 2. See the schedule for details. Dice addiction will also run HCRealms Dicemasters $1K on Sunday. Top three players will receive prize money. 1st: $500 2nd: $300 3rd: $200


CMON will be running all weekend in Game Room 3 and guess what? It's Free! Check the schedule to see the various games and demos they have in store for you! What is CMON? CMON is a miniatures and board game publisher. It also operates a highly trafficked miniatures related site at its homepage that features user submitted images of their painted models for voting. Fun! Fun! Fun!

Well, it sounds good so far.

Are they gonna be like nationals and worlds where they are on a 2x2 map and we snake draft from what was pulled and a con LE?

For those thinking about booking their room for this awesome event the online booking still doesn't want to seem to take the group booking code. I called in and was able to secure the price at 84$ per night.

The code showed up, but when it was quoting me prices for rooms it showed they were 114$

The battle royal format in the main game room has not been defined yet. I do not recall which format was followed at Dragon Con last year. Prizes have yet to be determined but they will not be Con Exclusives.

After hours battle royals will be run by Dice Addiction and they also have not defined format or prizing yet but I am also relatively sure they will not be supplying Con Le's.

Any idea how long that room rate will be good? I suppose if I win the Regional, I might go to this, but I wouldn't know until the end of June.

I had to review our contract because I couldn't rememeber so I am glad you asked. We have a guarantee until 9/25. After that the rate is subject to availability.

Ah, so there's not a limited amount of rooms set aside for this. Cool.
