Although it depends on what the control rod does (possibly power cosmic given the wording of his damage special), this figure is still pretty decent for the points. Overall, a pretty good representation of the character.

I'd love to pull this guy in sealed and face Thanos or Beyonder. Annihilus gets a great update, at a cost that is just cheap enough to allow decent support to be built around him in a 300 point environment.

My must have from this set. Of course he is a super rare.

I REALLY like this piece. Will definitely be picking him up. Within this set he seems extremely balanced, and moreso than any of the other pieces I could see him keeping up with WOTL pieces

I will be ripping off the sculpt from the previous version and sticking it on this beautiful dial. Finally I have an updated leader to command Blastaar, Ravenous and Annihilation seekers! Unfortunately the original Annhilus had a 10 range which enhanced the annihilation seekers special ALOT more than a 7 range.

A perfect 500 pts with Doom and Kang ! We can now replay the recent FF storyline (not like we can't make a 500 pts FF Teams, especially with 2 Human Torch !).

Don't forget to team him up with Annihilation Seeker and Ravenous who now have a boss to use their traits with.

i ran this guy and Moondragon at the first Wizkids open in Austin. It was an amazing pair and I went 2-1. my loss came from a full point Tyrant. I couldnt hit his 19 Defense even with Annihilus' attack at 12. Still, I give this piece 4 stars on its own and 5 stars with the Cosmic control rod

I've seen this piece run and it does just that run, it's a great piece and in fact I think I saw you play ebitiba, wish we would have played.

So..... Why didn't they just GIVE him the power cosmic team ability? Sure it's kind of fun to have the cosmic control rod as a separate element and it's comic accurate. But based on his trait he still has to pay the points for the rod. There are figures at 150 points with the power cosmic ta...Anni here is a whopping 200 points. He's already an expensive powerhouse tentpole. If they wanted his trait to have any sort of advantage significance they shouldve made him 150 points so the player could kind of feel like he was getting a bargain. Now it just seems like we're putting the Rod on his card to give him power cosmic when it feels like he shouldve just had it anyway. The dials a tad bit underwhelming for a guy who can withstand a direct, universe destroying blast from Galactus.

the dial makers have a history of creating underpowered, overcosted cosmic pieces.

also, he should have gotten a power similar to the new quasar where he can use steal energy with a ranged attack.

He just doesn't look right as another overmuscled human with some wings tacked on as an afterthought. Admittedly, even Kirby's original design is guilty of this (the "King" really only had a couple of base body shapes), but he still made him seem hunched and alien. Give me another spindly, insectoid Annihilation-style Annihilus, so I don't have to yank the sculpt off my still-playable SI056!
