Probably the least exciting member of the Spider-Sideline: the number of circumstances where I reach for him over any of the other "Identity Crisis" dials will be rare. His best value is probably actually for Spider-man Family theme teams, where he can act as a double-perplexing taxi and secondary attacker who has the option of shifting into something more menacing. Still solid for 75 points, but if you're looking to save your wallet this would be the last of the 13 I tracked down.
I can't for the life of me understand why this guy has the same point value as Ricochet or Dusk or even Prodigy? Sure he has some use as a primary transporter support piece (with the Perplex) and then Morph to anyone of the other 75pt guys to actually do something once you're mid game or something. I just wish I could say "ya he's worth the 75pts"...but as he is, I can't...

More effective than you think. The double perplex is very nice and if he hits someone with a ranged attack he is likely to place a token on them. Perhaps not the best of the slingers, but definitely playable even without the morph.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's entirely useless...just not worth 75pts IMO. Its only a 33% chance to get the second Perplex and that ranged attack special is another "might get" option. I'm just annoyed when I look at how good the other 75pt guys are from this series (of morph-able dudes) compared to this guy. That being said, I'll usually always start my team with this guy just to use the perplex and transporter, and then quickly change to someone else to make that first hit.

If the first click had the running shot, he would definitely be worth it. As it is now I see your argument.
I completely disregarded these guys (75pt ASM chases) because they're chases and thus hard/pricey to obtain. Now that the ASM set has recently been retired, I was able to pick up a few at ~$5/fig. The fact that he can carry really helps my Spider-Man Family teams (and the potential double perplex doesn't hurt either). I'd rate him as my #2 favorite after ASM Dusk.
