Hey guys, next week I'm in a 500 point Marvel only tournie, the catch is, you only get 3 figures, lol. Now I'm already set on my main player, Vet Dr. Doom. Now I'll be dealing with alot of hardcore bruisers out there, so I was wondering what you though would be my best bet for Doom two cohorts. Who would be best as a Mastermind sponge for him ?Who'd provdie the best back up ?

I was thinking, perhaps, V Doom, E Asorbing Man, and U XP Hulk. But I don't want to rely too heavily on Super Strength.

What do you think ?

I'd be nervous about using Doom in this match just because of that Mastermind situation. I think you almost have to go with Absorbing Man because you'll need a decent sponge. And you'll need that Impervious to give him a chance.

I just think with all the 4+ damage that is going to be flying around you will really need to roll well to keep him from dropping fast.

What about V Mandarin to help Doom out. 12 Range and Outwit could really be useful.

well I was thinkin Mandy, but his utter lack of damage reducin powers scares me a bit.

What do you guys think about tossing in a R and E Sentinel with Doom ? you can't find any better mastermind fodder for under 100 points, plus the capture ability in this game would give me a huge advantage.

If you don't use the sentinels I'd suggest Nightmare. A damage absorbing sponge who can enhance Doom's attack

I like the idea of using a Sentinel, but I think 2 might be roughing it.

Go with this:

Sentinel Mark VII (Veteran)
E Mandarin
E Venom

Total: 500 pts.

Use Mandarin to MC opponents into the Sentinel's hands, where they will be captured.

Venom can Perplex Mandarin's Attack up or the Opponent's Defense down to make it eaiser while taking out other opponents, cause Venom's THAT good. LOL!
