My personal view on it, not that I've bought many clix in quite a while: if you want specific characters, it's almost always better to buy them as singles. If you want most of a set and don't mind dupes, bricks are fun.
I tend to agree with this. Two things making exceptions here (and why I made the one list so it wasn't meant just so someone could fuss about tl;dr
): First, tallying up the singles that interest me, they're more expensive than a brick. Second, honestly, I enjoy opening boosters. Mild gambling predilection, I guess, but I find it soothing to pop one. It's one reasons bricks can take me days to weeks to open - I pace so that's not all gone too fast.

If I still played Clix with any regularity, I'd probably have picked up a brick of Nick Fury, because you actually want multiple copies of those generic commons.
Lot of good Clix dial-wise in Fury with some serious synergy builds. I'm split about 50/50 on characters.
Thanks! Advice I'll keep in mind!

So, I bought a brick of Trinity War and it was decent enough (always a good sign to immediately open a John Constantine, my #1 want). Some of it wasn't that hot - I really didn't need all three The Outsiders as it's not like the SRs trait does me any good without the Seven Sins dial - but happy enough. Still, plenty I could want from the brick and to just finish off the non-chases would be:
*Madame Xanadu
*Element Woman
*Green Lantern
*Shazam
*Freddy Freeman
*Hawkman
*Deadman
*The Grid
*Johnny Quick
*Blue Devil
*Shaggy Man (the old school reader in me is especially wanting this despite "meh" dial)
*Superman (think we know my stance on him)
*Wonder Woman
*Nick Necro (part of the Constantine mythos even if it's nu52)
*Tim Hunter (great dial and my autographed issues of the original LS are near and dear)
*Zatanna
*Black Adam
*Despero
*Blight
Plus I wouldn't object to a few more Sins (currently have Gluttony, Greed and Sloth)
Should I buy another brick?
On the other hand, I haven't bought any bricks of GotG, Avengers Assemble or Deadpool. Thanks to Ignatz and TAK I've some GotG and AA - but plenty to still interest me - but no Deadpool (main draw - besides zombies - is easily Superior Spider-Man). The Squadron Supreme characters are enticing too, come to think of it.
Also, I guess Nick Fury is out now? Looks to be a great set, even if there's still no Hawkguy in Clix (sorry for the miscommunication on that, btw, Ignatz). Dearly want to see Clint in his Hawkguy mode.
So, if you had brick money burning a hole in your pocket, which direction would you go?
You can't go wrong with another brick of Trinity, especially if your remaining want list is that extensive.
Trinity was a set that I actually wanted to obtain the majority of.
Despero & Blue Devil alone were on the top of my wants after not pulling them with my brick purchase. The sins are great pieces for the cost and the Gluttony with his little T-Rex arms sits atop my computer desk. lol
I didn't buy any Nick Fury boosters. I wouldn't mind assembling a shield army down the road, but I can trade for those. I haven't cared for any Marvel sets since Deadpool.
So has anyone "cut the cord" with the cable box yet? I was looking at the costs, and with my Xbox 1 I can get a custom digital TV tuner for the Box with antenna ($59.99 one-time cost) and Sling TV ($35/month with HBO). Which is a lot cheaper than the cable. And I can probably go ahead and upgrade my internet speed anyway and still be spending a lot less.

I did. I just got a Roku for a one-time cost. I get Netflix and Hulu and that's good for most of it. I'm not sure what Sling TV does - it has a Roku channel but I haven't really looked into it yet.

SlingTV is basically a Dish Network product, it gives a lot of basic cable channels for $20/month
(HBO for an extra $15/month)

Roku is great but the Xbox should have all the stuff you need on it. I only got Roku since we have two TVs in the house.
Sling is a fairly good deal for what you get. The question always becomes how many channels will you use regularly?
Yeah, that's the thing I don't know. I suppose I'd like to watch wrasslin' live again sometimes. Same with Last Week Tonight. But I don't know if that's worth 35 bucks a month.

That's why I decided not to get it. I've heard that comcast is testing a service where you get your local channels, DVR service, and HBO for $20 a month when you bundle internet. If they roll it out nationwide, I'll probably get it since I could ditch Hulu at that point.
My big thing is sports but that just gives me an excuse to go out to a brewery with my friends. (And spend all the money I saved by cutting the cord)
I have to go finish it. it's pretty, but I got interrupted and haven't gone back.
New hotness is Mr Robot and my Babylon 5 rewatch.
It really does stay slow. I powered through it and it picks up a bit in the last episode and a half. As I said before, some characters are really well thought out. Some are given airtime but really only fill a bit of a magical macguffin role. Others you wonder what their contribution will be other than 'Final Girl/love interest'. Still it has a ton of potential. I'll watch the second season when it gets released.
If you let them kill your dreams, it'll haunt you.
