Can flyers be carried by larger characters who have the carry ability?

Do characters block line of fire for larger characters?

1) Characters with the can't be carried period. If a character has Tiny Size, it can use that ability to be carried by larger characters regardless if its other combat symbols(including )

It's not so much the symbol that prevents being carried, but the Carry ability that is bestowed by that symbol that prevents being carried.

You can carry characters who have plain Flight (but not ) from for example a Phoenix Force Fragment, but not a character with .

You have it backwards. It is in fact the symbols that stop the carrying, not the Carry ability. All symbols that grant the Carry ability stop the character from being carried, but a character that is granted the Carry ability through a trait or special power and has or can be carried just fine. It can make for some interesting Carry chains.

Not trying to confuse the OP at all, but I just love those few figs that have exceptions to the rule by special white powers Abin Sur is one that comes to mind, and my personal favorite was the GG 036 Silver Surfer, in his case they did have to be Defenders.
