I am trying to make an awesome theme team around the marvels agent of shield team so that would be, May, Coulson, Sky, Fitz, Simons, and Ward. I have those pieces now comes the tactics and support pieces. If any one has any advice on hammering out this team and making it formidable would be helpful.
I like the cut of your jib; team-building around comics and TV shows can be a lot of fun. Full disclosure: I haven't used any of the latest NFAOS figures myself, but I'm thinking through some possibilities.
I recommend considering adding the common Mockingbird from the Age of Ultron wave 2 to your roster for team-building. This is a 52-point piece that aligns with the figures you mentioned.
The drawback of this collection of characters is that by themselves they cannot take much damage nor do they do a lot of damage. In the decade-plus I've been playing HeroClix SHIELD teams, the most successful ones (after the 'rule-of-three' was implemented) have been built with at least one character designated as the 'heavy-hitter'. This figure is the one dedicated to doing damage while all other characters support it and/or run interference.
If you strictly want to stay in the MCU, you have your choice of figures like Deathlok, Lady Sif, or I suppose any of the Avengers. Iron Man is usually strong in this role. I definitely recommend looking for SHIELD figures from the Captain America: The Winter Soldier Set, as this set is full of lower-cost SHIELD figures that can be built into effective forces. Some of the SHIELD figures from the first Avengers Movie Set are also quite good.
If you have gotten lucky to own a Quinjet, the MCU SHIELD team has access to Quinjets and uses them. The lower cost dial isn't particularly offensive, but it can help in deployment of your force. I am not sold on the resource dial aspect of the Quinjet, as it appears to be relatively costly to use (in both $$ and point costs for the Quinjet and ID Cards).
