Kind of pricey (90pts) for a vehicle, but as a fan of Kang, I'll need one of these. Now if only Kang had minions with a 'future' or 'council of kang' keyword. hmmm...
Do you like DC comics from the 1980s? So do I. Check out: www.dcinthe80s.com.
Well, I got one, and used it in a fun, little game; it performed very well, especially because i went into the fight having some doubts. I'm not a huge Barrier fan, and only one click of Invulnerable made me worried, plus using the vehicle's ability to borrow a standard Attack or Damage power from its pilot costs it its repetitive Prob Control, so... Decided that I would have Kang (cw050 Kang) be the pilot, since his numbers are great at start, and he has no Atk or Dam powers on click 1; he was VERY effective on it. Avas058 Immortus and aaou011 Vision rounded it out, and they were very good, too. Overall, while it lacks some of what you might, initially, want out of a vehicle, I found the Time Chair very good, and am also very glad they finally made it. It would also make for an excellent extra Barrier mage, and second source of Prob Control, even without its pilot, but that never came up. Was rather surprised about its Team Ability, but I didn't grumble, that's for sure. ;)
Yeah absolute crap. I am so thrilled that designers finally decided to rein in vehicle brokenness with THE FIRST MARVEL VEHICLES. Now none of the marvel vehicles can even almost stand up to the D.C. vehicles.
Kangs time chair isn't even worth the points. If this was a 90 point character it wouldn't be worth the points. Where is the energy shield deflection? Where is the invincible factor of the fact that ALL OF THE AVENGERS couldn't even touch this chair in the comics. Yet yesterday a single hulk charges my chair and it KO's in one hit. I mean really? ONE click of invulnerability? Someone doesn't like Kang or doesn't know anything about kang in that designer headquarters. Sure it's damage special is cute but it will die before ever utilizing it. I just....why? Why did they think this dial was accurate? I wish I could travel back in time and apply for this designers job and actually give players a comic accurate piece.
The ONLY redeeming factor about this crap fest is that the new Kang is 190 and this piece is 90 points. That's 280 points right there with 20 points to spare....that's kind of cool.

The Time Chair is fine. The first vehicles weren't broken. Would everyone stop whining about these two things?

Don't want to argue with you brainiacFTW because you is good peoples.
Having said that....the D.C. vehicles were in fact broken. They didn't necessarily break the game however compare the 99 point Bug dial to kangs 90 point chair. There is clearly a power shrink and I'm just upset they decided to produce this power shrink with one of my favorite character's vehicle.
I'm about to babble some about stuff I'm really not professional-grade with, so please bear with me, but I think your problem might be, at least in part, that you are looking at this as a vehicle, which it isn't...okay, so obviously I do know that Kang's Time Chair, in fact, IS a vehicle, but that's not what it was meant to represent (why it carries no passengers). KTC is meant to be a life-extension option for Kang. Giving him six extra clicks of health, which can use several of his numbers, several of his abilities, and which has Power Cosmic. It should reach a location easily enough, and then Kang can hop out, totally fresh, and do his thing, while the Chair sits by him, Probbing, if need be. When he's not in it, if it has Barrier, he can do his bit, and then it can barrier, protecting him from lots of things. When I look at it as more like a Relic for him, that makes him more survivable, than a vehicle, I still like it.
I hate Barrier, as a power, almost as much as I hate Super Strength (for the most part, it does NOTHING), because I find it hard to justify the individual taking their action to just "put up a wall", when they could've been trying to kill someone, or even move, but I really like the fact that Kang's Time Chair can do it, while he wastes things, beforehand. Would a Kang with six extra clicks, an Atk and Dmg that don't decrease, and a juiced up Prob be worth 90 extra points, on top of that Kang? I'm not sure, but I don't know of a 13 click Kang, to say nothing of one whose stats mostly stay top for half of it, and who represents "future-tech" with Power Cosmic.
As for "comic accurate" I commend people who say those words, and can agree that it would be nice, but this is Heroclix, and they RARELY actually do that. Plenty of people don't have their "signaute abilitiy" on more than a handful of their clicks, or can't be made durable enough without rendering half of the cheaper clicks useless. Kang, for instance, would have to have Impervious or Invincible on most of his click, and a special that says "this characters powers cannot be countered, except by an opposing character with the "Future" keyword; he's typically riding around in an Iron Man suit, with 10 centuries worth of improvements to it. That doesn't even begin to cover the OTHER things said same Kang would need.
Anyways, that' my overall feelings on it. I don't "play professionally", so I'll claim no expertise in this all, but I do happen to like the Chair, and think it can work well, both as a Kang-booster, and also as a "sidekick" support piece, for him.
You will never see these vehicles compete against DC figures in a modern tournament, and because I fully expect you to mention how much you prefer Golden, Batman was crap for values on almost everything. Batwing is a piece of crap. Batmobile is a piece of crap. The Invisible Jet was a piece of ####. The only good vehicles in that were the ridiculously imbalanced cop cars and the Bug. If either of those pieces still see serious play at your local venue(s), you might be stuck in the year 2012.

I never really thought the Batwing was that bad...so much so that at first I assumed you were talking about the character named Batwing...

Dude....if you think 10 clicks for 50 points is "crap" then I don't think I can trust your opinion. The invisible jet has multiple clicks of pulsewave and many uses for supporting a team like being able to CARRY characters. An EASY 50 points. Kangs time chair ISNT an easy 90 points. I'm not saying the original vehicles were game changing but when you compare them to the new ones you start to notice a distinctive difference. 50 points=10 clicks 90 points=6 clicks. That alone wins my point. Vehicles were notorious for having a ridiculous amount of clicks for the cost. It's painfully obvious that they reigned in on that with these marvel vehicles. I may rant alot but I wouldn't have to if it wasn't Kang.

You see "6 extra clicks for kang" and I see 1 unavoidable for kang when that vehicle is destroyed (and make no mistake it most assuredly WILL be destroyed) It doesn't even have synergy with ANY kang figure. Most (modern) kangs have nothing for attack powers on their top click for the vehicle to borrow. Why leave kang exposed in his bubble just to use the chair? The freaking bubble (which looks like a very inappropriate item I might add) is more useful than the chair. I think the ONE thing that would've saved the chair would be traited Energy Shield deflection. That would've made it much harder to instant Kill and it would be whole heartedly comic accurate.

Okay, then, 5 extra clicks. With Psyblast, if you're using it with the new Kang. And the unavoidable damage will knock him onto his Running Shot clicks.

Apparently every figure in the unit section is Kang, by that reason.
By the same reasoning, I noticed that you condemned haters for another "Kang" in the units section, and your argument was that you had used the "Kang" to great effect, thereby confirming its efficiency. I will note that the "Kangs" that I mentioned (DC vehicles if you aren't following) were complete crap in my hands. I am a frequent tourney winner at a few of my local shops. By your reasoning those figures must actually be #### because I have confirmed their inferiority by losing with them. Because I don't see any champion titles on your profile, I can only assume the "I played it, therefore facts" argument must apply to every Joe Blow on this site.
I love this chair. Even if it never attacks, it flies around delivering rerolls everywhere and by click 2 it can lay down Barriers 2 out of 3 turns, locking opponents up while still meddling with the rolls. The anti-Prob aspect is something to be careful about - although it can use PC "twice" in a turn, it can also fail to do so because if you use the "immediate" PC in response to an enemy PC you can't then use your regular one in the same turn. The order matters! Therefore it's more about winning a roll-off contest in which you use PC, an opponent rebuts with their PC, and then you get an extra immediate rebuttal.
Six clicks of un-Outwittable PC with a front-loaded reducer and permanent Phasing... excellent even with no pilot on board. Pilot it only if you have a cheap non-Bystander. A good choice would be an Alter-Ego figure, since the damage from the Chair being wrecked will possibly line you up to swap out.
