We talk about AAoU Hulk (300/250/200 points). I said that before :P
Oh, well then his only chance is his higher than average defense value, and the fact that the first time his stop click shows up, its beneficial to take 1 unavoidable damage.
If I get Hades I'll go with him 1 on 1 against this Hulk. I still hope that he can win, if I play him wisely.
PW and PC can give Hades advantage ;)
Sure, but the problem with Hades he will have to clear as the Hulk can keep attacking every turn. Hades can win, but he needs to get lucky on a few situations and for that he cannot be favored to win this match up. One mistake and it's over. The Hulk can afford a few mistakes and his giant reach will help him make up the ground. That said, I love Hades and can't wait to get him.

CAAV058 Immortal Hulk is here. There is no stopping him. For he will rise again and crush your bones. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I still go with him, because his first click is very similar (not the same unfortunately) to first click of my guy Sauron (from LotR Starter Set), who beat AAoU Hulk 1 on 1 without any harm. That was amazing xD
Sauron is 35 points more expensive than Hulk, that's true, but he seems weaker ;)

Just remember that every time Hulk hits Hades he takes a Mystics damage. Which can knock him to, or off of his sweet spot, and if Hades ever gets Hulk to his last click without using his Outwit(when he has it). Hulk is doomed.
Love the piece, don't like the sculpt. Sorry but.... what? Hades is a hobbit with a birthday cake hat? Wearing the red Guardian armor from Adventure Quest? (Played a lot of that game in elementary-middle school, dont judge.) I don't know. I never thought I'd say this but... just give me the Hades from Disney's Hercules. He looked like the ruler of the underworld.
...Though playing this guy against pieces like Sodam Yat will be fun. "Ok congrats, you're either only worth 125 points... or you give me +3 to everything."
He shone in the Battle Royale today - pieces were being KOd left and right and Heroic Souls were better than all my other pieces :') Even incap makes the Suffering ones annoying; Not sure how useful the trait would be in a regular game but it's still a good piece
Hades was on the winning team today in our sealed 300 point tournament. I had Apollo and came in second. Was a really fun match but what really made the difference was Hades popping out bystanders. They kept Apollo from doing big pulse wave damage or it would have been closer.

17 defense up front is really fragile, but all round a great fig, great range, great powers, improved targeting and a great sculpt. It's not overwhelming, just very detailed and very unsettling.
Well, as pointless as this will be, he'd eat the Emp (sog037) I frequently like to use, possibly like candy, since all his clicks, except the first one, so four, in total, in a row, are stop clicks. Not sure if each mandatory reveal would then trigger this, so he'd die, on the spot, or give Hades a boost, but that's how I am interpreting it. Slightly annoying that it's another "Hades, God of Death", when Hades never was that deity, but I do not really care; he can be pretty cool, and I can think of several other characters he could mess up, even just a little, and also be cool, in his own light.
Well, you can always choose to have Hades' combat values increased. Which can be interesting if you happen to have Nighthawk Prime in your team.

This statement makes me so friggen sad. We are in a state of clix where 17 to 18 defense is considered fragile, back in the day when 17 defense was reserved for cosmic beings or Gods, where most characters were at the 15-16 range at best if they were typically damage resistant characters.

Well I only started playing this year, but I feel like characters were always going to end up getting bigger combat values, it just makes the game more exciting...

Not me. I hate the power creep the game has going on. Big numbers should be on big characters. The fact that we have street level heros with stats similar to Gods and Demi-Gods is a little baffling. I know it's just game mechanics, and maybe it's just rose tinted glasses, but it felt genuinely spoopy scary when someone played Thanos or another big character back in the day because those characters DESERVED high stats. Now everyone gets big stats. The thought of a day where we have a street criminal with 12's across the board with 3-4 damage will be the day I quit D: It just gets tiresome and further makes it difficult to feel engrossed in the game when stats go up when it doesn't make sense.
