All of the scum roles were designed for a lot of in thread discussion and day activity.
Neutrals:
adamical - Bourne (Neutral / Trandoshan Hired Gun: Marauder): despite believing that you threw the Imperials off your tracks, a crafty Imperial agent has framed you for the theft of millions of credits from rebel operatives. Now, the rebels are after you and you must prove your innocence.
Obligation: to clear your name.
Win Condition: you win by discovering who framed you for the theft of millions of credits and thus proving your innocence to the rebellion. You win when you figure out who framed you - and you clear your name.
The Bourne Supremacy: Primary Power - You do not use equipment. You are not with the Empire or with the Rebels. You would have let them wage their little wars, if only they left you alone. Each night you can do any combination of actions listed below, but you must target different players with each action.
- Mason Bodyguard Maker x1: you will mason yourself with another player. They will also (unknowingly) become your bodyguard for the night.
- Mason Silence Maker x1: you will mason yourself with another player. They will also be silenced for the following day phase.
- Protect and Doctor x1: you will doctor another player, but retaliate against anyone else that targets them. You also make them a PGO for one additional person that targets them. You may only use this once.
- Janitor and Nightkill x1: you will nightkill another player, but remove all information about them in the write-up and on the character reference page. Slowly, that information will return over three phases, as military intelligence figure out what has happened. You may only use this once.
- Power Cop: you may learn the primary power of another player. This power will nearly always be added to your available powers as well, and will replace the last power that you learned as a power cop. You are not allowed to share this information in the thread. Any mechanical modifications you receive will be added to the new power that you receive from the power cop.
Secondary Power: every night, you will appear in the write-up, independent of the drag. You will be learning valuable information about who framed you.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
He died really quick. Essentially, he was a bounty-hunter. But bounty-hunting whom?
In order to win, he had to use ALL of his powers. He had to run out. Then, the next phase (day), he would be told who he was bounty hunting, which I was going to roll randomly at that time. Then, he would have been granted a vanilla nightkill, although lynching would also have worked.
Unfortunately, the very first person he used his power cop ability on was Immortal_Raven, the sole person from whom I was not going to give him a power. Fun role, died quick for no reason.
Rokk_Krinn - Josh Fancishyp (Neutral / Human Smuggler: Pilot): You are the smuggling legend, Josh Fancishyp of the Century Eagle. It has seen....better days. Currently, its parked in the hanger of this two-bit rebel outpost while you and your new first-mate Schteeck try to fix it. Meanwhile, you two conduct all sorts of iliicit business. OOC Note: you are just looking for a good rp opportunity to screw over the whole rebellion. Wouldn't that be dramatic?
Obligation: Kuurot addiction, a version of vodka-like alcohol or bathtub gin that I use in my own campaign.
Win Condition: Wouldn't that be dramatic, though? You are a serial voter. Like a serial killer, but you can only lynch folks. You win as the last person standing (though Schteeck can win with you).
The Century Eagle: This is a starship that is eerily similar to another time / bird of prey named vehicle of some renown. While it is not 'operational', you still conduct business out of it. Each phase, you may invite another player into your ship for 'business dealings' and get a sense of who they are.
You are an information gathering nexus. Each night, you will learn one player who targeted you, as well as their race, profession, or specialization.
Secondary Power: If Schteeck dies, you will become a dedicated double voter, as you instead slide his character sheet over to your side.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Why not run a serial voter? Good thought. Died randomly on night 1, which was technically a good vig...but I was disappointed that the concept did not work out.
Schteeck (Neutral / Wookiee Technician: Outlaw Tech): You are now the co-pilot to the Century Eagle, and a freelance mechanic that will modify other people's equipment for them. lately, you have been way more interested in the technical aspect of the game.
Obligation: Family. Your Wookiee wife, Wookiee mistress, and seven Wookiee children (of various stages of legitimacy) are counting on you, and hopefully they will never meet each other.
Win Condition: You are a neutral survivor: you can win with the town, the mafia, or with your mason partner.
I can add an attachment here....and then add some modifications there...During the day phase, you may attempt to negotiate a swap with another player through the mafia open-game thread. You may informally negotiate to 'modify' someone's primary power in exchange for something of value that you and your negotiated target come up with, in thread. You need to make sure the other player has accepted the deal, and then you may state in bold, "Excellent. Lets get to work"" to solidify the deal. The thing negotiated is very inventor-ish, thus you can get 1 vote from their threshold to yours, make them your bodyguard for an unspecified future night, or even gain a 2/3 majority while they gain a 1/3 majority to be lynched. Do keep in mind that all of this needs to be specifically negotiated in-thread. The 'bargain' is effective the moment you solidify the deal. A second bargain with the same person will undo a prior bargain.
Remember: everything is above the board. You cannot screw over your client. Wookiee's honor.
Secondary Power: Until Fancishyp dies, you cannot betray him or vote against him in thread. You cannot imply or directly state that he is scum.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I liked the idea of a negotiated gift giver that the mafia could use as well as the town, everything above the board. I was hoping that this would also provide sufficient incentive for the mafia to seriously considering killing him -- as well as the town.
Also, I wanted to add something about the modification system found in the Star Wars: FFG RPG, which is actually quite intriguing.
MAFIA:
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
With only one scum controlled kill, I wanted a strong mafia. Also, the Star Wars FFG has three levels of villain: Nemesis (highest), Rival, and Minion. I incorporated that into the roles as well.
DestructoBoy - Admiral Jim: (Mafia / Human Imperial: Nemesis): You are the leader of the evil campaign, a ruthless admiral in the Imperial Navy, tasked with hunting down fringe rebels while Darth Vader hunts down this so-called Skywalker elsewhere. Hmphh. From your place on the bridge of the Imperial Star Destroyer 'The Gauntlet', you plan an coordinate your resources.
Duty: To establish peace and stabilization in the galaxy by any means necessary.
Mafia Don: you are the end-villain of the campaign. As such, you cannot be lynched while another member of the mafia remains alive. You can, however, be nightkilled.
Command: as a night action, you may designate one of your mafia members to be a bodyguard for another mafia member. They will do this action in addition to their normal action.
Tactical Analysis: as a night action, you may designate one of your mafia members to track another player. They will do this action in addition to their normal action.
I don't like to get my hands dirty. You may not be assigned the nightkill unless every other member of your mafia is dead. at that point, it is a vanilla nightkill.
An Inquisitor? Here? Once per game, you may assign the kill to an 'Imperial Inquisitor'. The inquisitor will appear in the write-up. The inquisitor cannot be blocked, misdirected, or tracked. An RT result will be confounding. The inquisitor can still be influenced by actions that defend the targeted character, such as a push, a doctoring, or a bus drive. However, NO ONE in the mafia may take an action that same night.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The mafia did not end up using the Inquisitor power, though they contemplated it for the final night.
justphilthy - Captain Nourick (Mafia / Human Imperial: Nemesis): You are the female captain of a Imperial gun-ship left over from the clone wars. The increasing sexism of the Empire keeps prohibiting your rise through the military ranks despire your brilliance.
Duty: To minimize casualties on all sides.
Commanding Presence: Your natural charisma and brilliant tactics positions other players where you want them and empowers your troops. As a night action, you may either steal a vote or become a double voter. When you steal a vote, you will only steal one vote if that player has multiple votes.
Rebel Sympathies: While you will ultimately be an enemy to the rebels (in a tragic sort of way), you may collude with the rebels for the purpose of dramatic tension. As a day action, you may double a non-mafia member. You will perform the second action (though the doubled player gets to select the targets) that night and recieve any results, but otherwise be unable to take a different action that night. This action must be submitted through the proboard.
Full Barrage: As a night action, you may make an unblockable kill. You cannot use this action on subsequent nights.
Fun Fact: This is a character in gfishfunk's campaign. Because of that, you get a town cloak and profession cloak.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The town cloak did not do anything, and you will see in the town roles. There was no alignment cop. Instead, she had a Duty cloak. Her 'Duty' seems to work really well with the rebellion, so the obligation cop would not end up questioning this duty.
Also, she is an NPC from my own home campaign, a fact of which Immortal_Raven would recognize. The fact that she was scum meant that he would not be aware of it until she died. No harm, no foul.
turdburglar47 - Ace Wingman (Mafia / Human Imperial: Rival): You are the Ace Pilot of the Imperial Navy named Ace Wingman due to the GM needing to come up with a name at the last minute in the session. You fly in a sweet TIE Interceptor,Teal-1. Sweet!
Duty: To kill their best and brightest.
Out of Nowhere! As a night action, you may misdirect another player. When you do so, you will not show up on Reverse Tracking Results.
Gain the Advantage! When you make the nightkill, it is untrackable.
Brilliant Evasion Once per game, you may jailkeep a target as you engage in heroic one-on-one combat.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
He used the jailkeept on grizzz during the final night that grizzz was alive, when grizzz had been doubled. It was well-saved, but unnecessary. Grizzz was going to block TB47 (unblockable kill) and Silver Lantern (who killed TB47). Had he done anything else, TB47 would have lived on that night.
Linkor - Stormtroopers on Speederbikes! (Mafia / Human Imperial: Minions): You are a never-ending supply of Stormtroopers (that is, until you die), thrown at the rebels over and over again whenever an encounter is needed.
Duty: To protect the Imperial High Command.
Close the Blast Doors! As a night action, chose up to 3 players to attemt to roleblock for the night. The GM will roll a percentile die: 1 - 30-your first target will be blocked. 31-60-your second target will be blocked. 61-90-your third target will be blocked. 91-100-all three will be blocked.
Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise... When you are given the nightkill, chose up to 3 players. The GM will roll a percentile die: 1-33-your first target will be killed. 34-66-your second target will be killed. 67-99-your third target will be killed. 100-I will roll again twice.
Minions! You are bulletproof, totally immune to nightkills (unless you are body-guarding). Daykills and lynching can still kill you.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I loved the idea of random stormtroopers, unable to hit anything intentionally.
TOWN:
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
All town had simple roles (imo). The town had no alignment cop, but two otherwise strong cops that go after different information. Also, the town had two vigs, two trackers, a roleblock, and a jailkeeper. A strong town, I thought.
grizzzadams - Jazz (Town / Ithorian Ace: Driver): You are the pilot of the Jazzer Size, a retro-fitted AT-ST walker with large music speakers on the sides along with pink jazz leg warmers on the 'feet' of the AT-ST, along with a neon paint job to make any 80s kid happy. You are not one for subtlety.
Duty: To steal stuff for the Rebellion and pump out awesome tunes.
I'm liberating the people...with Rock'n Roll: Along with your musical speakers, you also have an ampted up microphone into which you sing you Ithorian bellows out of two mouths. While some would call it music, others find it quite un-tolerable. You are a role blocker. When you target someone at night, they fail in their action.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I really should have named him John. I got the idea from a game of 'Everyone is John' Star Wars edition. One of the players' goals was to start a dance party. John managed to get inside an AT-AT, and pumped up the music to make everyone dance.
Ithorians also have a special sonic attack in the game from their loud bellowing. These two concepts were a match made in heaven.
Silver Lantern - YP1E (Yippie) (Town / Droid Ace: Gunner): As a mishmashed together garbage processing droid, no one would have expected greatness out of you. However, it only took one misplaced restraining bolt for you to lead a massive revolt again your Jawa oppressors. Now, You have hooked up with the rebellion to take on even greater oppressors in your Sandcrawler ('The Liberated'), out of which you rain laserfire on your enemies.
Duty: To liberate oppressed people.
What is a Sandcrawler doing on Hoth?!? As a night action, you may confuse your enemies. Or they mistake your Sandcrawler for Jawas. This action is misdirection.
Exhaust Port: Not everyone knows this, but there is always an exhaust port. The leaders of the rebellion thought you were crazy to install a proton torpedo launching system on a Sandcrawler, but you will show them.... As a night action, you may night kill another target. Utinni this you mother #@#$#....
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
As Silver Lantern said, he killed a LOT of town members. I understood the reason though: the town was largely inactive. Regardless, he ended up killing the more active town members, like Truffle Shuffle. I was honestly surprised he did not kill off the other vig.
colonialbob - Cheeky Bastard (Town / Sullustan Ace: Gunner): No one really knows your real name, but everyone calls you 'Cheeky Bastard', the pilot of Indigo 4, a durable Y-Wing bomber. That is fine. You joined the rebellion because you enjoy explosions. Really BIG explosions....
Duty: To make things explode.
Overwhelm Defenses! What you lack in accuracy, you make up for in sheer volume of munitions spent. You are a jailkeeper. You cause rampart destruction, and everyone stays away from your target.
brainiacFTW - The Red-Eyed Baron (Town / Duros Ace: Pilot): You cut a dashing figure in your white sild scarf, red rebel suit, green skin, and glowing red eyes. There is a reason why the Empire has a bounty on your head, the dreaded 'Red-Eyed Baron', queen of the skies. In your signature Red X-wing (the Maroon 7), you dance gracefully among the clouds, asteroids, or through laserfire.
Duty: To keep my squad-mates safe.
Full Throttle! As a night action, you can take point for another player, cutting through combat in front of them to clear a path. You are a guide.
Dead to Rights: As a night action, you may place the perfect shot, nightkilling another player.
Targeting Computer Attachment: You were able to get someone to add a targeting computer onto your X-Wing. This will keep you from getting misdirected or roleblocked during the night phase. Use the force? Peh. Busdriving, Pushes, and Jailkeeps will still cause you to fail..
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The Targeting Computer Attachment was from Immortal_Raven. I_R also gave other folks one-time buffs, but I didn't really consider those additional powers like this one.
rorschachparadox - Jim Ackbar (Town / Mal Calmari Commander: Commodore): You are Admiral Ackbar's younger brother, Jim. Due to the name recognition, you have been assigned a 'fairly' functional Mon Calamari Cruiser, which you have very optimistically named 'The Devestating Triumphant Powerhouse.' You command its entire crew. Also, you avoid combat like the plague because you refuse to risk it what-so-ever.
Duty: gain a tactical advantage over the Empire.
More of a Pencil-Pusher... You got your rank and ship through political and personal means rather than 'valour' or 'genius'. Merit did not factor into this appointment. However, you do know people and how they think. As a night action, you may target another player to figure out their motivation. You are an incentive cop.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Unbeknownst to rorsch, he was the primary cop of the game. IMO, all the incentives (except Nourick's incentive) was really clean-cut. The Empire and the neutrals were obvious. rorsch ended up missing actions for two nights, only remembering once and on his last night, wherein he died.
eternalrage - The Fuzz (Town / Bothan Commander: Squadron Leader): You are the Bothan known as 'The Fuzz', a diplomatically minded Bothan pilot of an impressively fast B-Wing, (Green 1). Your appointment is based on merit, certainly, but you are also the post-boy for inclusion in the Rebellion. Make no mistake, you are a highly observant tactician in the field.
Duty: To make allies with other Rebel Factions.
Situational Awareness: You are constantly watching your vectors - and the vectors of others. Consequently, you generally know where shots are coming from and where they are going. You are a tracker.
hellsmurf - Trippel (Town / Gran Diplomat: Quartermaster): You are the Gran brewmaster Trippel, using your struggling business venture to compliment your duties with keeping the Rebellion running with gear. Stationed aboard the 'Star Hopper', a CR90 Correllian Corvette officially licensed as a hauler of fine alcoholic products.
Duty: to keep the Rebellion well stocked with gear.
Requisitions.... The demands of the Rebellion gets your nose into information that few others get to see. Consequently, you have become a fairly useful set of eyes for the higher-ups. As a night action, you may do one of the following, each once:
Equipment Cop / Equipment Name Cop / Gender Cop / Species Cop / Career and Specialization Cop
Once you have exhausted this list, you can then start over.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Essentially, he was the other cop. He had some really unfortunate targeting, as a lot of people he targeted died on the same night. That, paired with some cryptic comments in thread, got him lynched. In the future - lie about targets!
EnsRedShirt - R2D22 (Town / Droid Engineer: Mechanic): You are a mechanically adept droid with an intigrated jet pack and sealed internal mechanisms capable of surviving in space, a part of the DroidNow! product line. You repair things with all of your intigrated components. You have a quirky personality, and are always trying to get these carbon based life-forms into romantic relationships, you meddler.
Duty: To fix things that break down.
Solid Repairs: You fix mechanical things, such as vehicles, ships, droids....relationships? You are the town doctor.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
He happened to doctor the mafia don for half of the game. No one ever tried killing the don, but still pretty funny. And no, I did not count his zapping as voting.
Truffle Shuffle - Tinkerbell (Town / Human Spy: Scout): You are a rugged, wilderness loving hippy that has sided with the Rebellion, with long locks of hair that fall out when you remove your helmet and throw back your head. You are a master of infiltrating enemy territory, and sneaking behind enemy lines in your trust speederbike that you affectionately call, 'my speederbike.'
Duty: To bring down the Empire and the Patriarchy; to establish a feminist utopia run by women.
Natural Hunter: You blend in the shadows and track imperial movement with the best of them. You are a tracker.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I would have had her mason with TB47 / Nourick if she targeted her.
Why not run a serial voter? Good thought. Died randomly on night 1, which was technically a good vig...but I was disappointed that the concept did not work out.
Not so much a justification as an explanation on my part (my targets were clearly way off).
You posted 8 times all game. I take being quiet as a sign of scuminess unless it's someone notoriously quiet. You are usually pretty talkative I think.
Also, this post never sat well with me:

Probably not: but it WAS a good vig, so you should not feel bad.
It turned out good though lucky may be better word considering he randomly hit the Han Solo winner from last game. Just happened my role was there mainly to screw with people (just confess - that was your thought, fish ).
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

Fair enough. I was cranky on the methodology there and arguing on principle, but in retrospect that certainly looks notable.
The quiet was across the board and not just in this game, and I'm hoping to pick back up in activity!

No worries, I've gathered you've been busy with a little Paradoxer, just tough to tell when someone is being quiet cause of RL or being scum, and to be perfectly honest, I've stopped doing things like checking time stamps and when people were last on the realms. Ain't no body got time for that.
And Grats to IR for living through 2 games. I guess we all know who he will play in the Force & Destiny game.
