So with Constricted Vines and breaking away, Phasing/Teleport or IM Ignores Characters wouldn't work I'm guessing?
I love both of these. The only DC figures I have are Suicide Squad and Secret Six related but I might get a Batman enemy team if the others are this good.
I felt the same about non-Prime Batman (bm053a) a few years ago, who was missing many keywords: Great point cost and design, but he'd always be the "odd Bat out" on an otherwise Justice League or Martial Artist themed team.
At least Prime Ivy doesn't suffer the same dilemma-- we should count our lucky seedlings.
I'm not very sympathetic. Odds are, you can find a Batman with the keyword you want. It may not be the Batman you want, but you have a choice. I cannot run a comic accurate Suicide Squad team with any of the nine (I counted; one is the Pam Isley LE) non-duo Ivys in the game. Again, this wasn't some minor part of her history or the team's history. She was a regular in #33-66, and spent most of that time mind controlling Count Vertigo (keyword? Check).
Waller KOs: AA Robin, Kid Devil, Joker, Question; AW E Cap; FCBD Iron Man; Miracle/Oberon; John Stewart x2, Iron Patriot; Shatterstar; IH Herc; CW Photon & Nitro; FF Nite Owl; 10An R Thor, E Iron Man, Weapon X; FF Kilowog; Hugo Strange; Calender Man; Legion Cosmic Boy & Lightning Lad, LE Pete Wisdom
That's always been part of the problem with DC Universe - there isn't near the versatility as there is in Marvel. DC has only a handful of heroes and villains that are well known enough to make the rare and primes, whereas Marvel has tons of different teams, villains and well knowns.
I don't understand the relevance of what you're saying (nor do I agree with your premise). Ivy's made and been made a lot, the issue is poor keyword choice by WK.

Uh... what? DC definitely has the more well known characters. Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are the three most well known comic book characters there are, Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Shazam, etc. are all about on par with A-list marvel characters (a step below Spider-Man and Wolverine maybe) and they easily have more well known villains.
Everyone knows the Joker and Lex Luthor, and Darkseid, Zod, Brainiac, Riddler, Two Face, Sinestro, Black Adam, Scarecrow, Cheetah, Bane, Black Manta, Captain Cold, and countless others are on par with anyone in the Marvel universe in terms of versatility and fan appeal.
