My R wolverine took out a 300 pt sentinel in two hits.B/C/F are by far your best bet.Hit hard and hit fast with as many BCF figs as you can afford and youll do well..provided you have a bit of prob control, which you want to use on your damage roll more than your attack roll so you get as much damage out on the big purple as possible.
How Mysterio beat prof X: Mysterio Holds Up a sign reading "Storm has No pants!" Prof X looks up at her then while distracted gets shot off the roof by umar..for the third time...Hey it happend!
If mixed, SOD Supes (or OWAW) should be on yer team and support him like crazy. It also matters which version of Sentinels they are.
The 100pt sentinels are chumps.
If Marvel only, hmmm....pick a powerhouse and turtle em with Invisible Girl. Bringing down sentinels can only be done 1 way - hand out the buff beatstick beatdowns!
I don't know if I agree with the turtle strategy: if they capture your main guy then what? Definitly go with the BCF deal (Perhaps a brtual Spiral/Logan pair up) with nasty snipers (i.e Klaw, Cyclops, or Dr.Strange) as back up. Have an outwiter or two to deal with the toughness, and of course Prob control with a TKer (I sugesst Fatality if a mixed game)
No you can't outwit the Sentinel. BUT include Destiny in yer turtle group (or 2 or 3) and they'll keep Sentinel re-rolling so he never makes a capture.
Oh and yeah a BCFer would be fine in a turtled up re-roll group too. There is a lot of options to turn Sentinel into s#### metal. But they all involve bruisers, BCFers, and long range blasters. Damage dealing is key, take the beatings he may dish out to you, but make sure you deal lots of pain to them.
Definitely go with a strong brick (V Ulik works nicely) with some snipers with a high AV for backup. With the rest of the points, use BCFers and perplexers. And keep a paramedic or even an AIM medic (considering they're still useable) by the snipers to heal, so you can push them with little worry. And if you have an extra 20 points, throw Destiny on there.
Cap: After that bearded man!
Wolvie: Yea! Noone gives me a lump of coal and lives, bub.
