This piece continues the scary trend of shortening dials (28 points per click here) while fattening their combat values. I almost can't believe what I'm looking at here - particularly with the JSA TA. Invincible that can't be Outwitted (other than by KC Bats, maybe), a possible 14 attack with 4 damage at 9 range, and a natural 20 for not one but two clicks. Lordy, the times have changed if this is what 170 points looks like.
The best way to fight GL is with a brick, since ranged attacks are out (the KC TA and a likely 21 due to hindering). Charge in with an object and a Prob Controller and hope to hit that 8-10. In base contact at least he's reduced to hitting you for (only) 4 at a time.

So, it seems we are all in accord that this is an absurd piece. Any suggestions for general strategies or types figures to use to beat it. Besides, "roll really good". It seems like penetrating poison would work well if you could get through the invincible. Or is there someone with poison that ignores defense?

Using WoL Atrocitus with a couple red lantern recruits should do the trick. Although the invincible would ignore the penetrating damage from the red lanterns, atrocitus has an ability that lets all red lanterns do 2 clicks of poison damage per turn. Since invincible halves damage dealt, he would still take 1 poison damage per recuit. In a single turn you could surround Alan and whittle away his health.
"I remember you said to me once, you said... 'if death ever comes your way and won't let you pass... make sure you scream right back in his face"
you could also knock him off of elevated terrain with force blast or something this of course requires that he be on elevated terrain but if there is any he most likely will be perched up there blasting down at everyone with that long range.
I believe Pulse waving opponents would overcome the opponents Mystics feedback damage problem.
They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark

Why would you force blast him off of elevated? Nothing will happen other than him being knocked back. He can fly so the 2 damage that would happen won't.
That sculpt is probably the most chase-worthy of anything WK has put out since the Batman set. KC GL makes a great centerpiece for a JSA tank, but he's not quite the "Fort Knox of Clix." Mr. Scott is still susceptible to close attacks via HSS or a placement power; you really don't need a silver bullet to deal with him on his own.
Played against this guy with parallax on a yellow battery, it's a sad day when the only way to hit is to continually roll 10's or higher. KO'd everyone but him and here's Alan scott just chilling on top click. Made my OP kit MM on white battery look a damn recruit
I believe at that point Alan is in the GLC. That is why we don't have Hal, Kyle and the rest around. They are off in space, and due to the massive amount of Metahumans, no alien fleet would be so dumb to try and conquer the Earth... At least before the bomb..... (Side note: Alien invasion could be the plot for Kingdom Come 2 - Kingdom Comer)
