You can still try to put it on him thru the normal assignment of relic. Meaning he picks it up and you put it on the team not using Greed's trait.

Correct me if I'm wrong. You can have 3 relics in a team with Greed. 2 by the use of his traits. And because these 2 don't count toward your force, you can have a 3rd one by paying it's cost.

You're right. He'd have to move to it and roll for it though. Not as easy as assigning it through his trait. Tying him up for 2 turns in the process.

can you perplex his lightning bolts (targets)?

Targets is not a combat value do it cannot be perplexed

But Dr. Octopus arms are 8 pts if not playing modern.
