The dial is way off, of course. Every blank attack slot should've been filled with TK, and a guy who spends his LIFE floating midair deserves more RunShot. No more than a single 1st click of Leadership is necessary to show that, yes, he is a leader... the rest of the dial should be stacked with more Outwit and some RCE. Dual targets would've been appropriate as well for such an expensive figure, especially since 2 previous versions had that. The sculpt, while it may have been taken from comic art, is just plain boring. Playability? Yeah, his front end is formidable, but that ends up being nothing more than a glorified glass jaw. After his extremely limited RunShot mobility is spent, he's an easily-contained threat (especially by stealthy outwitters). In sealed, he was hard to beat; but against any constructed force worth its salt, Mags is going down.
awesome figure! He's definitely a power house! He only has RS for one click, but with a range of 10 and a speed of 12, he can easily stay out of the way for a while. and when someone gets in close, Magneto can handle himself!
I love mangeto.... With RS 12 and Ranged 10 he can be more dangerous than Thor (he can shoot you at 16 squares). YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
But Beware, You will have take care of him too because he has a poor DV.
Hes just ok. He tanks kinda quick, and Damage falls off fast. Magneto should have a trait in the future for Tk the whole dial. Hes a nice clix if you can keep him top clixed, I like him for 400-600 point games, but after that in todays game, his Damage and Defense start to fall fast enough to not make him worth it as much. A decent Magneto, but needs a remake, and hopefully soon.
A real blast to play, and still my favorite Magneto. He's so awesome he doesn't even need to stand up to blast you for 5. Telekinesis? Who needs it! In today's game maybe he's have it from some Special Power, but for his time this was the right decision. The Pulse Wave to Quake is nice for showing his ability to manhandle large groups, but not giving him more than one click of RS limits his ability to get around. Happily, he should get the first shot with that stellar speed, range, and sweet attack value. I have to laugh at people complaining that "17 is too low for defense" since in fact it's only now that defenses have crept up to 18 a lot. He's got plenty of damage reducers, so he should last a while if you defend him properly. His biggest weakness is for Stealth, which is as you'd figure for a ranged guy like him. I've gotten surprising mileage out of those last 3 clicks... the ability to run Outwit and Barrier and still shoot with 9 attack means he's certainly not gone until he's KOed.

It's amazing what 2 more points will getcha. Oh, the Modern Era... But still a good piece, no doubt. The sculpt has held up very well despite the awesome advancements we've seen in the last few sets.

I still like this piece for various reasons 1. He is set up before the SP and traits era of HC. 2. Can still take a hell of a hit and is not glass-jawed (like the new magneto has a tendency to be). 3. He is strong against range or cc pieces and is not completely broken to use. Still a great piece after all these years!
