"Just add < insert thing here > and they will be great".
Yeah, and just add that other thing to that other piece and it will be great, and just add something else to some other piece and it, too, will be great.
It really makes the discussion kind of pointless.
I disagree it makes discussions pointless. HeroClix is a team-building game. Maximizing a figure's value is a discussion worth having to some players. For example, GSX Cyclops with his "heal 2" really makes those UXM pieces that can use the X-Men team ability as a free action better.

That being said, though, I think anyone complaining about this figure is a victim of their own expectations.
I'm not sure there is a "problem" with having an opinion that a character isn't what you were hoping it would be.
I'm sure there are players who just take what they get at face-value and are content. That is fine. A discussion board is for discussion and some people come to share whether a piece meets, falls short of or exceeds expectations.
For some, that's fun.

Nevermind that this figure could potentially act every single turn and take far more than 6 clicks to kill through it's ability to heal. It was supposed to cost 150 points and have invulnerability, darn it!
Those folks need to get with the times.
"Get with the times"? One could argue in a game where special objects (part of game for 14 years), entities (part of game for 2 years), resources (part of the game for 4 years), and synergy (part of the game for 9-14 years) that someone complaining about team-building ideas should "get with the times"...
I've been let down plenty of times by WK design team. Sasquatch is one that always springs to mind. Sure, I could suck it up and just play the way WK designed his dial - or I could build a team that allows him to play the way I find enjoyable. I'm going to pick the one that is fun for me.
I'm not sure why "my fun" cause some players to gnash their teeth in anguish because "my fun" isn't "their fun".
And now I'm suddenly in the mood for Chinese food...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Carnage hasn't been part of any Sinister teams that I know of, and the Carnage that was on the Frightful Four wasn't Kasady.
Lots of figures that have the KW havent been part of any "Sinister teams." I look at it like the Brotherhood of Mutants KW. Kind of a catchall to allow theme teams. Im a HUGE SpiderMan fan and am disappointed too.
