I've been making custom Heroclix pieces for awhile now, and although I'm incredibly happy with how cards and inner dials come out with normal printer paper, I can't help but cringe at even my best attempts at printing new dial tops.
As of right now I use glossy round label stickers on the dial tops and they work fine but they don't look right and smudge over time.
Does anyone have any advice for what is the best way to make custom dial tops? I see some people online make some amazing dials but I can't ever replicate them.
I'll post an example of the best custom dials I've ever seen. I've purchased some of his product and it looks great and lasts but I can't figure out how it might be done.
And while we're at it, does anyone have any advice on how to print really high quality cards? (What type of paper to print the cards on specifically).
I have a photo printer and print on 5x7 glossy paper. After I print out the cards, I cut them up and glue them together using a glue stick (not too wet or it will warp the paper). After the glue dries I will cut the corners and give them a nice round edge (edge rounding tool, size medium).
I will print my Dials on a high quality (and thickness) Sticky Paper. Then you simply cut them out and stick them on top of the existing Dial you are trying to replace.
HERE is a Thread full of a complete Mini-Set I made complete with Custom Cards (printed on high quality paper stock) and Custom Dials.
PM me if you need some further assistance

Thank you! If gluing them together like that really works I think I'll definitely give it a try. (Don't have a photo printer, but maybe Staples can print them and I can glue them.)

Thank you for your help. I actually was printing the dial tops the exact same way as you but I didn't like how they came out so I changed it to where I am now, but it's still not perfect enough. Your customs look awesome by the way! Especially that master splinter.
