OK, so what? Pulse Wave ignores the terrain for line of fire. That doesn't mean he doesn't occupy it. He still occupies the terrain water terrain whether Pulse Wave ignores it or not.
Yes Omegabroski, but only when lines of fire are drawn. Death Adder's SP says they cannot be drawn. The check to ignore things only happens if the line of fire is drawn. If lines are not drawn, then nothing is ignored. DA's SP wording is different then Croc's.
Stealth blocks line of fire that is drawn, yes, however, DA's SP prevents LOF from being drawn at all. Two different things in this game. PW needs to have the LOF drawn to ignore things, and Stealth and Crocs SP allow the LOF to be drawn. DAs SP doesn't allow LOF to be drawn, so he is safe from PW. Same with Con Ex Loki. Maybe someone else can explain it better, or better yet, search the Rules forum for better clarity if my explanation isn't clear.
Pulse Wave ignores all powers, abilities, traits and game effects. In order for Pulse Wave not to work against him, his trait would have to say "this power can't be ignored".
I think Wizkid's reasoning is Pulse Wave's Lines of Fire ignore everything, including all other game effects except the aforementioned, but if you could never begin drawing the line of fire to begin with, then you can't ignore a power. To see if a Line of Fire is blocked, you have to draw it to begin with, but if it says you can't even draw it, then you can't ignore the power. This is pretty well documented and has been ruled on for multiple powers, it's definitely a pretty concrete ruling. Stealth BLOCKS line of fire while Death Adder's power says it can't be drawn. There's a difference just like Invincible ignoring damage and other powers reducing it.
Once Pulse Wave activates, any power, special power or trait that does not include the words..."this ability/power cannot be ignored" means that Pulse Wave is ignoring it. Wizkids needs to strengthen their wording when it comes to lines of fire and Pulse Wave and other powers and abilities...this is nutz.
You're incorrect. If you cannot have a line of fire drawn to you via a game effect then Pulse Wave never had a chance to ignore your power. Pretty clear cut and ruled on already.
The issue is with Stealth, why would it BLOCK lines of fire if supposedly the intent of the power is that you cannot see the character, it's hiding you don't know the character is there... Stealth is not supposed to be: I'm hiding behind this bush that means that when you range attack me the bush will block it, most official rulings talk about being able and not being able to draw lines of fire not about blocked. That's why powers with improved targeting ignores hindering are all named like: I Can See You or Infrared Lenses and things like that. Also the difference to target Death Adder for a Pulse Wave and him being affected by Pulse Wave in the area of effect.
It "blocks" line of fire because adding another game term is pointless and is purely semantics. The LOF is blocked because the attacking character is, for one reason or another, unable to see the target. There's no issue with stealth at all...
