I've found this Superman to be one of the better figures (that I have access to, anyway) to make use of the Weapon Drop from WF Fast Forces. Sidestep up and equip it turn 1, then whenever you make the Weapon Drop roll, you can hand pick which Supes you want to use that works best with the revealed powers. For just shy of 100 points, you end up with a very versatile figure that can stare down much higher costed figs with ease.

Well you must place weapon drop at least 5 squares from your starting area as it is a special object - therefore sidestep + pick up right off the bat won`t work.
Does his defense ability granting invincible and a plus 1 to friendlies get canceled out by pulse wave ? I would think not since it can't be ignored anybody know
If I give any of the shifting focus figures an ATA does it transfer to the replacement figure when it is brought on the map or do I have to pay the points to equip all of the possible replacements with the ATA even if they start on the sideline?

A replacement figure retains all game effects of the character that they are replacing, as long as they legally can do so. As long as the new figure has the keyword required for the ATA they can use it. The cost is paid once (for the figure who begins the game on the map).
A great call in for defense. He grants +1 from his special Defense power, and the call in lets him share Invincible with all adjacent characters. That's pretty nasty.
