In Contact With Bruce Wayne says Batman can use Outwit, but only for named & standard powers. How is this a drawback? I assume there's something this excludes, but I can't think of what it might be.
Non-binary. Please refer to me in "they/them" pronouns. Thank you.

You are missing special powers. He can't counter special powers.
Blades/Claws/Fangs is a standard power.
ADAMANTIUM CLAWS (Blades/Claws/Fangs) is a named power.
These days, they're basically *ALL* named powers. We don't tend to have just standard powers on cards any more.
Named powers just has some flavor text with it. Like for Super Senses, it might be called "My Spidey Sense is Tingling" (Super Senses). That's a named power.
Special White Powers are different and so not covered by his outwit
The Bismarck was scuttled by it's crew - I think it was the first known recorded rage quit... -Tyroclix
Got it, thank you. I find it a little awkward that there has to be that difference. As norm stated, I realize the powers are basically always named, but never really think about the names. This would therefore mean something that can only outwit standard powers is effectively useless on current figures. That helps clarify things very well. Thank you.

That would still work fine. Named powers are still standard powers. Named is a subset of standard.
All cats are mammals, but not all mammals are cats.
Would that power also mean he couldn't outwit combat abilities? Or would that fall under the power works same as normal except where altered by the power description thing?
(I've probably worded that badly but I'm getting tired and haven't really got the time to do my usual self editing retyping of the posting before I post it.)

It says he can only counter standard and named powers, so he is unable to counter Combat Abilities.
