For sixty points, this dude has an effective reach of eight squares, with theoretically up to 48 targets. Under ideal circumstances, that's 96 clicks of damage in a single attack. How much did that Thor: The Dark World hobby chase figure run, for similar performance?
Wait, close-attack isn't close-combat-action-- so his trait and his Attack special don't stack. Still, quite the astounding Common.

The sculpt reuse in this set is OUT OF CONTROL. Nice repaint of Scorpion; aside from the different tails this is probably the sloppiest example of forcing character A's paint job onto character B.

I don't quite understand his attack power. Would it just be quake with 3 range aoe centered on Rattler, or can he use the normal quake aoe centered on a square 3 away?
Gestas, you were right with the first one, it would be an aoe of 3 centered on Rattler. Quake no longer keys off of adjacency, but rather it is worded such that "targets include each character this character can attack with a close attack". In this case, anybody within 3 squares.
This is just 60 points of cannon fodder. Quake requires a power action, so he CAN'T use his 'ssssneak attack' trait WITH quake. Maybe if you use the Thunderbolts ATA and pick a good Marvel team ability, he will be worth his points.

Not entirely fodder. I mean, he can effectively quake from 5 squares away (2 sidestep, giant reach 3) and when he does he shuts down ranged attackers and potential knockback. Situational, yes. Fodder, not exactly.
Uh...Last time I checked, Quake was a close combat action. So this guy's AMAZING. Second best of the Serpent 60 pt class hitters, first being Death Adder.
"Our mother has been absent ever since we founded Rome; but there's gonna be a party when the wolf comes home."
Quake is a Close Combat Action, Owlman, you're right; but the thing his trait grants is a Close *Attack* (like you get from Flurry). Works with Sidestep, though, and if you can give him Charge you're in a lot more than 60 points of business. Not as good as he looks at first glance... but what Common could be?
Agreed. Incredible with Skirns Hammer, situational annoyance without. Used him for the first time last night... did better at survival than I expected but missed the important ones. The hardest part is that Quake is so limited when facing damage reducers... he was nearly useless without OW initially.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
