Played him in a couple of my pre-release games, and he was awesome. Not broken, but I would say under-costed for what he brings to the table, those pogs are deadly. There is good reason for him to be unique. My Animal team just got a lot stonger :)
Love this piece but..why the stop click? His other 3 clicks only let him take one damage so he will always land on the stop click. Can someone please explain why this is?
Some one said 'can't use' already, what about penetrating poison? I'm sure there are a few clicks that can do penetrating poison for more than one damage.
Only figure in the set I'm going to need to track down the regular AND sketch variants of. Some lucky so-and-so at my venue pulled the sketch version of this guy last night, and it's a gorgeous piece. I didn't blame the kid for not wanting to trade it, but I did insist that he has the homework assignment of having to read Nextwave before the next tournament (with that kid's sense of humor, he's gonna love it).
I want to give him a War Wheel to cart him around the board.
coming soon : nu52 Hercules

Played him last night. Amazing 100 points. Mobilities low to start but sidestep lets him creep up behind his pogs, pushing to TK them into position or pull another fig out of danger while the next wave of pogs moved in. I put out the crabs 1st, then the Modoks, then the bears. By the time he had used all 3 my dinged up opponent had pushed through the interference and hit me right onto the stopclick. DD then went all Jurrasic Park.

Played against a team featuring this guy last week and it was an absolute blast. He really does feel like an end boss or dungeon master- my team had to fight through the Drop Bears AND the Rockabilly MODOKs AND the Homicide Crabs to get to the Dino. The crabs especially were tougher than they looked; with good positioning on my opponent's part, I had to spend multiple turns using up my Outwit on their Pulse Waves while I cleared. Ended up winning, but time ran out before I could KO the big D.
Pulled one of my own last night- can't wait to play him with WXM Sauron, HBoFA Great Eagle, & a couple WF Black Cats.
If anyone is wondering what this thing's deal is, as a character... well, you really ought to just read Nextwave; it's like watching a twelve-issue game of HeroClix played by the funniest friend you have. Beautiful Stuart Immonen art. But if you want a quick summary of his deal without too many spoilers, here's one: https://chasmosaurs.blogspot.com/201...-dinosaur.html
His size and weight makes him the easiest Super Rare to pull. Managed to get both the normal and sketch variant version of him. Can't wait to give him a play, just wish he weren't unique.
I have both versions also - the only figures from this entire set that I give a fig about - and also wish they weren't unique so I could play "red" with "bones" on the map at the same time.
FYI - there's a "guy" on "evil cove" who's selling poker chips with the different bystanders printed on them. Heavy chips. Highly recommended you get a set.
imma haveta second that on the bystander tokens offa "that place" - i got me a set and they are really nice - finally played him today and the tokens were a big hit !
Just got him in a loose booster last Saturday. Haven't been able to field him yet, but he definitely looks like a lot of fun to play. Was thinking he can be the center piece of a 300 pt Savage Land Theme Team along with Vertigo, Malice and Plunderer.
