I thought about making the title "I BRING DOOM TO YOU ALL!", but I was worried there'd be a misunderstanding that it's a dial for Dr. Doom.
I've toyed with making dials for DOOM characters a few times in the past, but this time I'm just flat out going to try to make a whole set worth. Going to already say it, I haven't finished 2016's DOOM yet, but I plan to while working on the set.
Games to be included in the set
DOOM
DOOM 2
DOOM 64
DOOM 3
DOOM (2016)
Games excluded
DOOM RPG (Never played it)
Final DOOM (Technically it's just player-made maps using the original DOOM and DOOM 2 data)
Fan-Made DOOM games or data not part of the games being included
Also going to try to break the set into rarity divisions and include things like special items and relics, maybe a resource or two. And to be clear up front, the DOOM Marine dials will be a mix of characteristics from the games over the years. The DOOM Marine will be using the Shifting Focus mechanic to represent his large arsenal.
This opening thread will be a placeholder and notice of the idea while I try to work out the exact rarity placements.
Expect many classic and modern versions of the characters, a TA for the demons if not the UAC as well, fun items like Berserker Packs and Invincibility pick-ups, and my best efforts to balance everything playability wise.
As a small preview of things to come, the Invincibility Power-Up and the Berserker Pack.
Invincibility Power-Up
Effect: While this item is EQUIPPED, when the character would be dealt damage by an attack, roll 1 D6. On a result of 3-5 the character may use Invincible for that attack. On a 6, ignore all damage. On a 1-2 the character takes damage normally and remove this item from the game.
To Equip: A character standing on or adjacent to this item may take a Power Action to Equip it.
Point Cost: 15
Berserker Pack
Effect: While this item is EQUIPPED, the character may use Charge, Flurry, Steal Energy, MUST use Battle Fury, and deals Penetrating Damage with close combat attacks. At the beginning of each of your turns roll 1 D6. On a result of 1-2, remove this item from the game.
To Equip: A character standing on or adjacent to this item may take a Power Action to Equip it.
Point Cost: 15

Reason: Color Coding for Easy Reading.
Fireballs: Imp may make ranged combat attacks as though he had a range value of 6 with one bolt, but modifies his damage by -1 when he does.
Moving onto the DOOM 3 Imp variant, I was torn between incorporating Stealth or Phasing/Teleport, Phasing won out because they frequently teleport in from nowhere.
Resurrect The Demons: When friendly characters with the DOOM Demon keyword and a lower point cost than Archvile are KO'd, award victory points normally and place that character on their character card on their first click and a Special Terrain marker in the square they were KO'd in. When Archvile is adjacent to the Special Terrain Marker, he may be given a Double Power Action to bring the KO'd figure back into the game. Victory Points are scored each time these figures are KO'd, and remove all Special Terrain markers when Archvile is KO'd.
Explosive Fire Blasts: All ranged attacks made by Archvile generate knockback.

Teleportation: Movement: Ignores all Terrain and Characters, cannot stop in Blocking Terrain.
Conjure The Demons: Summoner may be given a Double Power Action to place up to two friendly characters with the DOOM Demon keyword and a lower point value adjacent to itself.
Teleporting The Other Fiends: Summoner may use Telekinesis, but only to move friendly characters it shares a keyword with. Summoner does not need line of fire for this use of Telekinesis.
Lost Souls I see as similar to the Flock of Bats in being single-click figures with a sculpt in this set, except they all have the same stats but different sculpt variants from across the series. That way you don't "need" to get every variant if all you care about is the stats.

Fast Flying Fiend: (Non-Optional) Lost Soul cannot carry. Lost Soul may use Charge and does not need to half it's movement when it uses it if it moves in a straight horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.
A little commentary for this card, Phobos appears in Quake III : Arena, and took part in the events of Doom, but was ultimately betrayed and allowed to be killed by the U.A.C. before becoming a arena combatant in the Arena Eternal.
I didnt wanna go completely OP with him, but I did give him 3 point values so you can assume what his top point value stats are going to be like. That said, he is only going to be a Giant figure, I am saving my colossal figure for the Spider Master Mind.
Edit: Maybe a double base would be interesting too....but still not a colossal
Also, in case you didnt have any ideas for a team base for the Demons, Use the ICON OF SIN.
I've actually been working on a smaller set, of JUST the new game. My Imp is a LOT different than what you have here. If I get a chance, i'll post the dials I've done.
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
Been too long since I posted here. I'm going to post my first idea for a chase for the set. I said the DOOM Marine would get the Shifting Focus tactic, but I left it off this one on purpose for good reason, you'll see why by seeing his dial. And yes, most of the power names refer to the infamous DOOM Comic.

I want to find clix sculpts to put on a clix I think would fit doom guy well. My local venue loves to see sculpt swaps and the teams that they go along with.
