No, it isn't a free action. That is because you are not told to "make a close attack as a free action" just "make a close attack." It is the same as Juston Seyfert's attack special - his sentinel moves as a free action then simply makes an attack.

@Biohunter, I am not sure what you're pointing out, but I will amend thatin Vyker's scenario, Character A does not receive a token since the Close Attack is not an Action, therefore Actions do not resolve.

Think of it like Mystics. Mystics is not a free action, it just happens, after actions resolve. Same thing with this. The close attack simply happens, after actions resolve.

I concur with this 100%. From the sculpt to the powers to how it plays to the Champions and Defenders keywords; the ClixFx is yet another value enhancer. How this is not five stars currently is beyond me. It is the only Iceman I will ever need going forward.

Technically, yes, but the Ice Wall can only be attached to one character at a time, so all you'd be getting out of it would be an extra attack (with depleted damage, no less).

Can he make that attack after he side-steps?

As long as he moved through someone, yes.

My new favorite piece, such an amazing array of abilities and one of the most beautiful sculpts in the game. The ability to tie down an opposing character after being able to running shot or sidestep is just bonkers. Sacrifice Indom for moves through characters? Yeah I can dig it. And bobby is a fairly tough cookie, for sure not a tent pole like colossus but still he can take a decent hit or two before you have to worry. Have been using him on a nasty little 500 xmen themed, chase mags with chase weapon x, iceman rare storm and mxy(mags gives him xmen keyword). Nothing super intense, some squishy characters but they have some awesome abilities. But it is still a sturdy and fun little xmen team, and who doesn't love making mxy part of a themed team?

I know you can use the ice block attack with side step and this was kind of touched on earlier but if im pushed and sidestep through someone i can still make the attack? Im not sure if im just confusing the free action part. Or will the attack require an action token on my part. Either way I think i need to put one of those trinity war relics on him side step and esd yes please

Okay, so if I have iceman running shot through a character and then fire at another character do I have to roll twice or does one roll apply to both? I had a game where I RS through Hulk and targeted Iron Man, i rolled a crit for Iron Man but wasn't sure if I had to roll again for moving through Hulk.
