While this set was going to be all about batman villains, we got 3 bats in it (this one, FF and chase) and all of them are really great. This one seems like a killing machine - outsiders someone, outwit them and let the mayhem beggin (even more frightening when it comes to sealed where he would be a real and scary threat. Great as solo player and also great in teams. A lot of "standard" bats kw, good stats. I love that he counters most of bat villains from this set (with bane being the best example - outsiders him and outwit his charge:)). Really there is nothing not to like - great depiction of the character I would love to play.
He has both Outsiders and Bat Ally TAs. Yes! That trait, those stats, and the "martial artist" keyword means he's gonna be played a lot. I don't even have him yet, but will someone please stop me from playing him too much??
Well...Freddy Freeman can 1shot him with an ultra heavy for 8 points less...but granted he's a prime.
What a strange argument. Sure, there are pieces that can kill other pieces. Also, Freddy can't do any of that if Batman Outsiders him and/or outwits HSS/Super Strength.

Well what I mean is that everyone is praising this one like mad and are all chanting his name and saying this and that, and I would love to see their faces when he gets 1shot by a cheaper figure in 1 turn. It's like that fight at the beginning of the movie Troy. (And of course if you're smart at all you will place Freddy in a way he can HSS Batman without stepping into his range and line of fire/cover him with some other random figure. I'm afraid movement and flight are in Freddy's favor...and again he's cheaper in points, though not in money. I hope.)
slightly miffed his willpower is reduced to a white power you have to choose to use. batman's the poster child for willpower/indom yet he has to choose whether or not he's tough over throwing a batarang a little better? especially for 120 points. if he was indom he would be top tier for me, but 120 is a big number these days and that lack of flexibility irritates me enough that i will probably give him a miss on anything but outsiders teams.
After playing in the pre-release I think think this piece is way over cost; I do realize his ability to use Outsiders ability for Outwit and versatality (belt/analytical mind) however-- despite this in as others term it in 'the current meta' will eat this guy for breakfast. With the Green Lantern which pretty much nerfing stealth I see this guy getting ko'ed more often than not. The newest FF Batman has a longer dial, less cost and over better survivability.
Win/Loss: 0-1 Outsiders Batman - a version of the character I've wanted since Legacy. After facing 2 of them (2-0) and using him (0-1), I can say that 120 points is 20-30 points too much. This Batman has so much going for him conceptually. I love the SP, the TA, the trait but there are poor design choices on this figure (given the cost). Damage output is really low for the points - this makes Bats have to spend many turns taking down cheaper pieces. Dual targets is good sometimes but adds to bloat when he is in close combat or picking Willpower. Often times his allies will be using the Outwit meaning the 2-3 damage is an even bigger hindrance. Early Leadership - if you want token removal leaves him more vulnerable to opposing EE and his drop from click 1-2 loses 1 attack, 1 defense and gains you nothing. I hate that design. He's not a bad figure but is better served on 500+ point teams that can better support him and hide his flaws.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Agreed, I think this Batman would be great at a 75-90 point range. After playing the FF Batman I found his potential despite differences to be more cost effective, and his ability to survive while dishing out more damage.
Why not build a team and spend 35 points to pull him into the game? Play the Batman ID Card and an Ultron Drone to pull him in just to use Outsider/Outwit ability, after that an attack would just be the gravy on them there mashed 'taters.
Dice rolls will be the bane of my competitive Heroclix career.
