I couldn't find a definitive answer since a thread I found on this forum from 2015 had a link to a WES thread that is no longer there. If a character is KO'd, does it go to the sideline? And if it does, can I ritual summon the same Relinquished that was KO'd earlier in the game?
so as mirandirs already said you couldn't resummon him again as he's not on your sidelne but just to add if it was instead a power that said he was summoned from outside the game you'd have been okay.
as an aside i'm not familiar with the figure myself and had to and look him up so just for future reference it helps if you quote the power or post the figure in your query.

So with his alpha primitive trait, would those alpha primitives come from outside the game? Or would you need them on your sideline?
None of the effects concerning Alpha Primitives reference the sideline or otherwise replacing a character with another. The sideline is not used.
but it definitely is a character from outside the game? not a character already on the map? other wise i dont see why it would specify to place him "on the map" in an adjacent square.
basically i can start the game with alpha primitive on my force, and then if he is ko'd before maximus, i can give him the action to bring the same alpha primitive into the game?
this came up a while ago and i forgot to check it out. i think it was ruled wrong.

It means that you are adding a Primitive to your force from outside of the game.
It does not mean that you are taking an already active Primitive from somewhere else on the map and placing it next to Maximus.

Because you are placing the character on the map. It wasn't previously on the map, but now it is.
If it just said "place an Alpha Primitive adjacent to Maximus" (or something similar), then it would be referring to an Alpha Primitive that is already part of the game and on the map somewhere.

yeah thats what i meant by "otherwise". thats what i was trying to do in this game and it was ruled i was wrong, but i ended up winning because i kept rolling 5's and 6's for maximus' outwit so i wasnt too sore about it. this post just recalled it to my mind again. (reminds me of another question about maximus. gonna research and maybe post another question.)
