I've been adapting screenshots from 8 byte games (Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, and Fire Emblem) and overlaying Heroclix terrain colors and a 1.5x1.5 grid- and now I have like 20 made... however, whenever I attempt to load these maps into an album it degrades the quality so badly that they would be impossible to print and wind up looking terrible in the preview.
If anyone knows a solution, please let me know. I don't own the rights to these images, so it would be free for others to download for personal use as long as no one sells the maps.
My brother and I usually play Heroclix together and had zero modern maps, so the first custom map I made used the "Goldenrod Gaming Center" as a basis. (Pic Below).
However, I have made so many now (because its easy and fun) I would like to share them with the community (possibly have a custom maps article on the forums page, maybe? *Zoidberg voice*). Plus, I've noticed some other players making custom Pokemon dials, and I'm certain these maps would be a great way to enhance those characters (don't forget Dr. Pokemonicus). Plus, why use Deadpool on anything BUT a Pokemap!?
Other maps I've adapted include for Pokemon:
New Bark (Interior/Exterior)
Azalea (Int./Ext.)
Route 8 (Ext.)
Ruins of Alph (Int.)
Cinnabar Island (Ext.)
As well as...
Orcarina of Time (1x Map)
Link's awakening (3x maps)
Fire Emblem (3x different maps).
AND MORE! (plus a couple 4 player maps for battle royals!)
The actual quality of play varies per map (the Gaming Center rocks though), and I can attempt to post some pictures of my already printed maps, if anyone wants a better view of the kind thing I wanna get out to other players.

Thanks for the help everyone! The advice worked immediately.
So more on the article idea:
The article would be every other week, and display a new custom map as well as discussing how it plays. I will note none of these maps are legal for tournament play. People can download and print the maps for friendly games, though.
Additionally, at least once a year I would post a 3D map (I'm currently working on a version of the Batcave and South Park town) and I would discuss how I make the various 3D elements. The Batcave I've been working on has water terrain made of acrylic (with inset rope lights), giant penny, T-Rex, and a rotating Batmobile display - just to name a few of the elements - it's ridiculously in depth. I've made a "Tom's Rhinoplasty" too.
Having an article up every other week might inspire more players to make custom 2D maps. Additionally, having a more in-depth custom 3D map article occasionally would also let me describe how I make 3D maps as well as potential costs, and hints. Plus, I'm open to map requests and answering questions. (The 3D maps take about 6 months to complete).
I enjoy hcrealms and use it a lot. I wanna contribute more to the community- and having more maps is something all players want.
