There's a lot to pick apart in this episode, but to comment on Swordsman, he's probably included because of the Sidekick Night ID card of him. I have no idea who he is. My store did a Sidekick Night last month, coordinated with another store somewhat in the area. One of them got Dr. Strange, the other got Swordsman. They split the cards to give people a choice, even though there isn't a choice. When I saw them, I immediately concluded they were going to include Swordsman in ADW. It feels really forced.

That ID card has been out for a long time though, and we've had a modern age Swordsman for a while. I think they just doubled him up because it was easy to do both a hero and villain version.

Swordsmen I can accept in the set because he was a big part of the avengers defenders war series.
