The card for the BOXING RING has "Special Terrain" in italics underneath the name of the Boxing Ring.

Does this mean that it's a generic keyword that would potentially break themed teams, or is this merely an identifying label that has no bearing on themed teams?

We'll see what they rule, but I would think (/hope) it's just an identifying label as the Boxing Ring is not (should not be?) a character. And I don't think we've ever seen a non-character game element have keywords (excusing the weirdness that was the Batcave, that had two characters potentially as part of it).

The only other comparison I've seen in Clix to date, apart from Vehicles, is on the new style of cards: the Web Shooters and the Harley's Hammer both have "LIGHT OBJECT" in all caps, but not italicized.

Special Terrain is not a keyword. This does not break theme

The way it's written on the card is the exact same font as the generic keywords on the new card style. That's why I'm asking.

Is the boxing ring a character?

As it does not have a combat dial, I would assume not, but this is WizKids.
