Imported some stuff from my Soviet Base map, and I forgot the ye oldier lamps were actual light sources...
I kind of like the visual pop they give that room, but worry they ruin the abandoned feel.
Thoughts anyone?
I think if you keep the lights on 'odd' angles, as if they've been knocked over/fallen - it will still work as abandoned.
Eg. A Zombie outbreak causes chaos and low level property damage - then stays that way... I doubt zombies bother to turn off the lights when they leave a room!
You could also experiment with trying to represent flickering neon tube lights... they always scream abandoned... not sure how you could create the 'flickering' effect in a still image though...
Awesome map as always Traumador - if only I had a way to print/play on them that was cost effective...
Loving it so far. If you want some more objects, I think some vending machines wouldn't be out of place. It'd be hard to tell what they were from a top-down angle so perhaps they toppled over and left Frito's and Snickers all over the floor. Another idea for a room would be a lab (broken glass, microscopes, pill containers, etc). Also, what's an abandoned hospital without creepy wheelchairs? I forget if you're going more for abandoned or horror-esque but I could see some fun design choices with a surgery room. Heck, maybe the crazy, murderous surgeon was the reason it was shut down in the first place!
If the hospital is more modern, you could have fun with an MRI map mechanic (e.g. whenever a character with the combat symbol enters the MRI Magnetic Zone while holding an object, that object is immediately dropped and placed adjacent to the MRI machine. That object can now only be picked up by characters with the or combat symbols.) I work at a hospital and rooms tend to be regulated with oxygen levels and various other gases. In an abandoned hospital, their could be gas leaks that hinder movement or deal damage while residing in its AoE.
Just some thoughts, keep it up!

Sweet. Now I can see significantly more. The walls are tough still. I think you changed to grey on the previous map for the walls. That tweak really helped.

There are surgeries and a lab in there already
I like the MIR idea, might be a bit too modern... I'll think on it.
I definitely will be adding a wheelchair or two, due to your suggestion. They somehow completely escaped my hospital brain storm.

Good idea. Forgot to reset it on this render pass. Try it on the next one

Wish I had a suggestion for cutting costs on printing... Now that I've got a regular play buddy doing a Batman campaign I have a backlog of maps I've created, but not printed yet...
Flickering I think is a solely 4D phenomenon... can't think of a possible way to represent it in a map (drawing in 2D, there are a couple ideas)
