tmnt2019: Splinter

Damage Rat No More: Splinter can use Shape Change. If Splinter has been attacked, that opponent's force can't make attacks this turn.

Question:

If I attack my own Splinter, via my own pieces (i.e. colossal retaliate), does damage rat no more trigger?

Mainly the part about "that opponent's force can't make attacks this turn"?

If I attack myself, am I my own opponent?

Or it is not possible as the trait does not mention friendly characters?

I would think (hope) you can never be considered opposing to yourself, so nothing should happen.

I believe your correct, but the wording of the power is a bit vague.


Wizkids needs to further clarify the wording of similar powers.

They always add "from your OPPONENT's attack" to every power."
Or if Splinter has been attacked by YOUR OPPONENT.

Especially with all this colossal retaliation...

Naw, it should carry thru. Even if it triggers from your own attack, technically, the resolution has no net effect. Because you're not your own opponent.

That wording is more to cover multi-player games.
