It's Golden State's World, We're Just Living In It (2017 Season Thread)
Hey, never too early to start talking NBA, right? Especially with the craziness that is the Kyrie-IT trade.
Personally, I feel it's a push with a slight edge to Cleveland depending on where the unprotected pick falls for them. Also, with the thread title... anyone going into Win-Now mode just seems to be wasting potential since, well, even if Boston (who I think did go into win-now with the trade) does somehow beat Cleveland (don't think it happens), they are NOT beating Golden State.
Also, LeBron moving next year to LA is something that everyone is reading into... but I just am not seeing it. I mean, if the goal is to win rings, how does moving to the Lakers (even if they get George) help? Tougher conference and not necessarily a better team. Honestly, I think moving to OKC or Houston from a basketball standpoint makes more sense than LA (Paul George-Westbrook in OKC, Paul-Hardin in Houston).
Anyway, pre-season ramblings. Just don't get me started on Hayward. Razzum frazzum...

You're alright. My friend's wife is okay. Even though she converted him into a Boston area fan. We're talking Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox. Probably Bruins too. My brain still has a hard time processing that conversion. I could never do it. I was in Chicago for years and still had a hard time cheering for teams that were rivals (Bulls mostly). And living in Texas...there's no way I'm going to be a Cowboys fan. The best I could ever hope for is impartial.
I actually do trust the process. I am just hoping the timing works out. If The Sixers can get the right piece, they could be competitive for a decade. I just hope that it happens on the tail end of the Golden State Dynasty.

I'm a SoCal not-quite NBA fan (college basketball is more my speed.) That said, I am sad that the Clippers seem to have missed their window. I like Doc, and I like the hustle of many of the players he has built around.
Leave it to Lebron to respark my Knicks fandom. Sure we lost (as expected), but I'm liking what I see from this team. Still, I'd rather we get a top 3 pick this year. We won't be able to compete with the 76ers when we're both on the rise. Simmons looks like the truth and Embiid finally looks like he can play major minutes. Covington looks to be the type of role player championship level squads need. If Fultz can recover, that's a dangerous squad in two years.
