Don't mean to argue with taste, but I think she's a pretty good value for points--compares favorably to the Colossus from Uncanny X-Men, for example. She's got all the shared traits for her keywords, and almost all the keywords I'd want (maybe could have used Brute and... would it be reasonable to give her Metropolis?). The Empower & the Wildcard TA make her a team player, and that Only Six Of Us trait could pair nicely with a squad of parademons.
I like her but her feeling so weak stings, especially compared to her fellow furies.
the secret six gimmick works for that team but when you have a figure like knockout who fills a role in 3 different sub-themes, having her hobbled by 2/3 is a damn shame (low cost for secret six and then furthered by that wretched suicide squad trait).
This is a decent, welcome version of Kay. Her Secret Six trait is much easier to pull off in a lower point build with Parademon bystander filler. Also, Amanda Waller or Barda/Granny Goodness can counteract her Suicide Squad trait with their Leadership.
Pulled a five-woman Suicide Squad team in 300pt HQGG Sealed tonight and Knockout got WORK done. You don't find a lot of super-strong trait-Stealth-plus-IM:Hindering pieces for fifty points, certainly not in the Commons. I sympathize with those who wanted something different, or more, for a character they love from the comics, but I'm really pleased with her as she stands.
Surprised at the lack of Indomitable, but it was probably left off in order to keep her points down. In Golden Age play, pair her with an older Deadshot so she can wildcard Suicide Squad. Also, I've found that she works best as a secondary attacker, letting other close-combat pieces benefit from her Empower. She then acts as a finisher, charging in to wipe out the injured piece. This also keeps her out of harm's way, as she lacks the Regeneration or Steal Energy of many of the other Secret Six.
WIN/LOSS: 7-5 I see several players are not liking Knockout but I cannot complain at all. She is very low priced with some solid named keywords I do use. Plus she is a wildcard so when I opt to play a non-keyword themed team she can add some flexibility. I love her for her Empower most of all, as she helps her comrades to deal devastating damage (King Shark says, "Hi."). But even on her own, on a team of 6, she is swinging with a 5 Charge range, 11 attack, for 6 with a heavy object - for 50 points. Even after hitting her "18" defense, she can slide onto a side-step, 11 attack, 18 defense w/CR for 3 with CCE?!?! For 50 points. Knockout is a cost-efficient close-combat bruiser you don't mind sending into combat because she will net you far more points than she costs. UPDATE: With the 2021 NuRules, I wonder how her Will of Apokolips will work with Psy-Blast and EW being passive.
